Empire has interested me for a while. It is just so hard for me to get into new shows though. Got to get the GF interested first!

Give it a try. The first season only has 12 episodes.

Keiner kann ihn bremsen, keiner macht ihm was vor. Immer der richtige Schuss, immer zur richtigen Zeit. Superfussball, Fairer Fussball. Er ist unser Torschützenkönig und Held.

^ Lexx looks pretty interesting, maybe it will come to Netflix one day.

I just watched Spirited away again, first time on blu-ray. What an amazing upgrade. I love detail and this transfer is pretty much flawless. There is so much more to see than on the dvd version. The sound is improved as well, during the boiler room sequence it actually felt like sitting in a big engine room.
I wasn't planning on watching it all in 1 go, yet couldn't turn it off. Awesome movie.

Dark matter is getting better since the pilot, it's going in the right direction so far. It remains to be seen if it will still be fun after everyone's secret has been revealed.

I watched the colony today, didn't expect to see Morpheus in there. It was pretty entertaining for a low budget movie. 6/10

And another survival show joined the ranks, Alone. 10 people left alone (separated from each other) on Vancouver Island. They have to film everything themselves, no crew following them. They did get to take 40 items with them in a small backpack. Last man standing wins half a million. So far 4 have quit already, last one to quit had to wait 6 hours for extraction while a bear was walking around his camp.

I watched the pilot of Rewind on sci-fi. Plenty of cliches and pretty predictable, yet also well executed with likeable characters. Looked promising, then I looked up when the series would air http://www.scifistream.com/2013/08/syfy-drops-time-travel-show-rewind/

FFS they cancel everything I have a slight interest in. Oh well, the 90 minute pilot was entertaining on its own. Meanwhile I don't understand how the last ship got a second season. I forced myself to watch the series premiere to see if it had got any better. Worse much worse.

Naked and afraid and Alone are my favourites, currently I'm most curious to see where the 40 day, 12 veteran Naked and Afraid challenge goes. The first episode was pretty good.
They're dropping pretty fast in Alone. I don't blame them, Vancouver island doesn't look a nice place to survive. Quite the contrast with The island, crab feast everyday and I don't think they even had rain once. They mostly had to fight their own stupidity :/

You can try the last ship, apparently it has a decent following. I don't mind all the nonsense, it's kinda funny in an unintentional way, yet in this case I simply don't like any of the lead characters, especially Eric Dane and Rhona Mitra.

Talking about nonsense, I watched Delete (part 1) last night. It's so bad, it's good, gonna watch the rest in a bit.

I saw "Inside Out" which reminded me that Pixar is still the gold standard of American animation. Not afraid to balance silly colorful moments with quieter somber bits, which matched the films themes quite well. It is obviously beautiful and well animated (which goes without saying any more).

My favorite aspect is how the story is small. Makes it very relate able as characters feel complex yet realistic in this common scenario. I also thought the ending was very thoughtful and classic Pixar in giving more than just entertainment and good lesson for kids (and adults honestly).

looks like im back for now my monitor died after 6 years of non stop watching something lol for now the new monitor works but its a bit too bright kinda washed out had to lower brightness to 40% and the animation isnt as good as it was but maybe im just imagining things. if something else goes kaputt i wont be coming back for months probably not until i buy a new laptop so if someone is selling a laptop for 100 bucks let me know :p
