Legend 7/10

Wow this movie looks great on blu-ray. The awesome visual design really shines with tons of detail despite some very heavy occasional film grain. Ridley Scott is a master at lighting a scene. The whole movie has a dream like visual quality which the music enhances, maybe a bit too much, since it kinda lulls you to sleep in places.
The story has been shortened a lot from the original script with many scenes cut because they would be too expensive. Unfortunately that makes the movie feel both slow and rushed. Young Tom Cruise running around in a dress and glitter is a bit on the questionable side as well. Yeah the 80's.

A lot gets lost on VHS though. The blu-ray included some lost scenes as extras in VHS quality, 2.35:1 letterboxed after 4:3 pillar boxed. So muddy and dark you can hardly make out what's going on. I never thought of Legend as particularly pretty, I had only seen the vhs version until now. Maybe netflix has the hd version.

Dude you're screwed is new again tonight. Another newbie gets introduced to the game according to the description. Last week they dumped somebody in an abandoned Canadian prison in the middle of a forest.

could have been a bit more tight more going on also they didnt really much explore the main character but overall its good definitely worth watching.

for some reason I thought there would be a dinner table with lots of blood,death and drama but instead I got confessions of some teenage mutant japanese girls.

No I missed that or it wasn't available here. There was a survival show with 4 teams racing through Alaska, but that didn't keep my interest. Any clue what the navy seal one was called?

^ Again. Looks like a remake of the 2nd one. I'll watch it anyway, eventually.

I had the house to myself for a few hours so I decided to watch Akira again with the volume at a 'decent' level :) That 24bit/192khz 5.1 remastered soundtrack is still the best there is. 10/10. Gives me the shivers every time, definitely a step above Interstellar in IMAX. Too bad Akira is the only movie with a hypersonic 192khz soundtrack. We've gone from dvd to blu-ray to 4K, yet sound is still stuck at 48khz. At times I close my eyes just to concentrate on the soundtrack, so good.

Cold Fish (japanese)

another great,disturbing and yet fun and entertaining movie from shion sono..apparently based on a true story. I dont buy it its just to much going on in just a couple of days but you never know how fucked up some of those japanese

No. This is the third time you ask me this same question TPB is the answer. I've recently found a guy with a huge collection so im feeding off him from the time being..and then when im done the search continues for the next victim.
