Not really, no. And the thought of playing on such a small screen with limited control and interface deterrs me even further. I also feel that handheld consoles and games are way too expensive (DS games cost more than PS360 games here, about the same as Wii games when they're new).

Why is that? DS and Wii are the cheapest here, DS games are half the price of PS360.

Handhelds are great to play at home while the evening news shows are on in the background...I'm a simple man.

I haven't played my psp in a while, but when I did I played it almost exclusively at home. I wish there were more games left to play on it right now so I could play it while my roommate is sleeping and I can't play on the big screen. I honestly think there is a market for a handheld that offers a console experience; I think people simply doubt that it's possible and write it off before they give it a chance.

I only like to use handhelds outside the home when I want to have something for music with the backup option of gaming if I get stuck away from home unexpectedly.

I don't know whether its the Nintendo distribution channels or import fees or whatever but Nintendo games always cost a little bit more here (roughly 10% more, except the N64, the N64 games cost about 60-70% more than PSOne and Sega Saturn games in their time).

Tilt controls work surprisingly well.  Even without tilt controls racers are really only 2D which you can also do well with touch controls.

If you bought a Nintendo game/product off ebay or some other online store, would you still pay ridiculous import fees?

Yeah, there's a limit to the value of the imported item (200NOK), anything over will be taxed, tolled and served with VAT. The VAT alone is 25% on all products and services. I've mostly bought my PS3 and 360 games off of Play.com based in England, their Platinum titles usually go for around 15 £, which is below this limit.

As for the PSP; I never really liked the PSP at all, it offers a sort of "mini-PS3" experience, which is senseless to me since I already own a PS3 (and a 360) and feel no need to play handheld games outside of the home. The same goes for any kind of media capability, I use my TV and PC for all that. And overall, I simply prefer my gaming experiences on a big screen, with tight, customizable controls and great sound (and a lot of it...). Playing something like Battlefield 3, Gran Turismo or The Witcher on a tiny screen with a tiny headset or a small built-in speaker and an analog stick or (shudder) touch screen seems plain wrong for big games as a whole in my opinion. I respect that there's a market for the handhelds and I appreciate that others buy them, it produces more profits for developers and console manufacturers and helps make the market more consumer friendly and diverse!

Maybe I'm just old fashioned and greedy, who knows?
