Forums - General - Here's to you Bleach Anime!

I'll miss it since it was part of my anime routine (Fairy Tail, Bleach, Naruto, One Piece), but this last arc felt like a filler arc anyway. And except for a few battles in the last arc, the action was as boring as Major League Baseball in the Summer. Now I gotta find another anime to watch. Maybe Gintama.....

The problem with the arc was every fricking battle was one-sided, except for Rukia v Riruka and Byakuya v Tsukishima.

Bleach is ending? I now have an excuse to watch it, I guess.

The anime is ending.
Manga will continue.

well the current arc is the last arc for Bleach..so it won't last long

Actually Kubo Tite said it was going to be longer than the Arrancar arc.  That lasted about 5 years.

...uhh...ill just put my favorite quote of all time here.

"Welcome to Pain, the second of three...You have dealt the first...now deal with me!!"

You mean the Hueco Mundo arc, I guess, I think your generalizing the Arrcancar Arc.

The Arrancar Arc was everthing before they invaded Hueco Mundo.

The Hueco Mundo arc was everything up the switch from Fake Karakura fights to back to Ichigo vs. Ulquiorra.

Everthing after until Aizen's defeat was Fake Karakura Town arc.

Arrancar Arc took a little over a year.

Hueco Mundo arc was just over 2 years.

Fake Karakura Town arc was also a little over a year.

Now that I think about it the Lost Substitute Shinigami didn't even last a year.

I've only watched the first 109 episodes (to the end of the Bount arc) before taking a break about a year ago, and I personally quite enjoyed the anime. When does it go downhill, after the next story arc?

I'm a pretty big fan of the series so take what I say with a grain of salt.  The canon was always good to me up until the end of the battle between Ichigo and Aizen.  About the fillers,  the Amagai Arc is half good/half bad.  I'd explain it better, but don't want to spoil it for you.  The Zanpakato Arc is great!  It's the best filler arc in the anime and I prefer i to a lot of the canon.  After the AIzen and Ichigo battle there is the Invading Army Arc which is okay and then the Fullbring Arc which is awful.  It's a shame that the anime ended on such a low note.  So to answer your question, I think that the anime starts to go downhill after the Arrancar saga with the Invading Army Arc and then really does a complete nosedive with the Fullbring Arc.

Invading Army i felt did a better job than Zanpakto, mostly because of the subplot involving Byakuya's betrayal in Zanpakto which i felt was terribad. Invading Army wins major points for the Reigai!Soi Fon vs Komamura fight, incredibly well done.

My major concern with the manga as it stands is really whether he's going to give all the characters their due in the end. I would like to see individualized fights for: Hallibel, Soi Fon, Yoruichi, Unohana, and Komamura. I'd like to see one with Ishida as well, but given the nature of the enemy it's inevitable that he's going to get a good deal of focus. I don't really care where they take the plot, but i'm very afraid that he's just going to toss certain characters aside. Or simply kill them off, which would be yet worse.

Maybe I should rewatch that arc.  I liked it, but didn't care for the Nozomi character.  Kageroza was pretty interesting though.

The biggest problem with Bleach has always been that Ichigo is always the star.  He's the guy that always takes care of the main villain.  Example:  The Bount Arc could have had a great ending where Ishida could have defeated Kariya, but no, they have to have Ichigo save the day like he always does.  :p

this is a bad thing then imho . the problem with Bleach manga is that the author drags the story on for way way way too long. Too much dialog and repetition of the same points. I was hoping this arc will be short and action packed, somewhat similar to the soul society arc. would have been pretty sweet

Nozomi was a douche. I couldn't stand that ungrateful bitch.

I don't mind them having Ichigo be the hero all the time as long as it makes sense, but in the case of the bount arc, I agree that Ishida should've at least had a major role in the final fight. Like if Ichigo assisted in helping Ishida take him out instead of a one on one fight.
