Bleach is ending? I now have an excuse to watch it, I guess.

The anime is ending.
Manga will continue.

Nah I don't think the anime series is ending. Most likely taking a break or changing channels?

Taking a break, but it could be a while. If we cut filler from Bleach, what's the rate of chapters/episode? There needs to be enough chapters of the finalr arc such that they could air the anime consistently through the end of the final arc.

okay, i just ran the numbers. Through chapter 479 of Bleach ran with 214 non-filler episodes (my count may be slightly off) of the anime, so its roughly a rate of 2.25 chapters for 1 episode. To have a season (20 eps) worth of chapters, you would need 45 chapters, so basically a year from the start of the current arc, which was in late February.

Hmm... If they start roughly as soon as they are able, my guess would be that Bleach: the final chapter, the anime, will start no sooner than April 2013.

Dub is still in filler FTL.

Bleach is good, but that Fullbringer Arc was terrible.

I hope that the final arc gets animated. I'm pretty sure that it will be since there were hints dropped in the last episode that it will return.

So, who's going to watch what's going to air in Bleach's spot? I'm not so sure about an entire show dedicated to Rock Lee.

I could give it a shot. Depends on how precisely the humor works.

I've only watched the first 109 episodes (to the end of the Bount arc) before taking a break about a year ago, and I personally quite enjoyed the anime. When does it go downhill, after the next story arc?

Depends on your tastes. I didn't feel the real burn of it until the second filler arc (Brand New Captain Shuusuke Amagai), and then not again until the fight against Ulquiorra where the wangsting started to kick in on Ichigo's part, and meanwhile the fight in Karakura Town started to devolve into a series of endless plot-twists

The two filler arcs around that time, Zanpakto Rebellion and Invading Army, were fairly good in my opinion, but then Fullbringer comes around and it all just goes to pot. But opinions vary drastically.

I still think the series (anime & manga) should have ended after the Soul Society arc.

Actually I think that is replacing it...

Least rumors say so.

Just save yourself and go watch Yu Yu Hakusho which Bleach tried to be the spiritual successor of. Full-bring arc has many parallels to the Sensui arc with the only problem being that it isn't as good.
