Forums - Microsoft - Remedy hiring for next-gen project

Joystiq

Remember back in October when it was rumored that Alan Wake 2 was in production for the next Xbox? While we still can't confirm Alan Wake 2, we now know that Remedy is indeed hiring for the next generation of consoles. The developer has posted the hiring notice in the Alan Wake community site, stating that Remedy is "looking for world-class talent to work on an unannounced project targeted at future generation consoles."

The fact that the notice was posted on the Alan Wake site could be a hint as to what the next project will be, though it's important to note that the site also hosts forums for Remedy's other games, including American NightmareDeath Rally and the first two Max Payne games. Still, Remedy has made it quite clear that there will be more Alan Wake, so a next gen entry to the series is definitely a possibility.

Speaking of Alan Wake, you know Joystiq has exclusive, never-before-seen episodes of Night Springs, right?

i think the key word here is console(s)

I'd like to see Remedy start a new ip next gen.  Don't get me wrong, alan wake is a great franchise, I'd just like to see their talent expanded upon.

Would be a mistake for them not to go Multiplat or at least this time go for Xbox AND PC at the same time.

Before the hard price cut Alan Wake sold so poor on the 360 after all that hype it got that they surely weren't happy.
In some countries they reduced the price so hard after one week that it wasn't even funny cause Alan Wake had quality.I think i got it here 1 week after release for 20 Euros in some stores cause no one bought it.
And it wouldn't be a waste of money to bring their next game directly to PC - Steam showed that PC Games can sell there. They had the money back before the 1st day was over and sold a lot.
