Valkyria Chronicles, 3D dot game heroes?

At least Japan is still supplying us with plenty of variety.
Western games have bigger budgets and flashier graphics but they're not very innovative, unless you're into autolog, online matchmaking, DLC and all that.

What!? Define "relevance". I think Binary Domain and specially El Shaddai are completly irrelevant! Now, if you take Mario, Pokémon, Metal Gear, Resident Evil, Pro Evolution Soccer, Gran Tursimo, Final Fantasy or Zelda you will realize there's nothing to prove at all, and that those threads about "x region is irrelevant" were just plain stupid...
