That's complete bullshit and really makes me want to go beat the crap out of someone.

And you played a violent video game recently I bet. They rest their case.

Thanks for spelling it out for the rest of us.

Sorry. My irony-meter is a bit off today.

Guys. I heard correlation equals causation.

Eventually, the world be rid of the out-of-touch old men who have these strange vendettas against video games. Then we'll have new out-of-touch old men who hate something else.

Indeed. People have been peddling this nonsense since games were born. Movies, music and books have also been under attack. Before they made books, I'm sure plays and theater got the blame for all the woe of society.

People need to grow up and realize that bad parenting and poor influence from unsavoury individuals cause them to behave poorly or violently.

Great mature response by the The Entertainment Software Association, this is how developers should react to these types of unjustified attacks, instead of foul mouthed responses that serve no purpose.

I don't see a problem with it. There should be plenty of room for another label.

Just put it directly on Batman's face.

I don't know, I think they should leave his face on it, otherwise how would consumers know how badass you get to look in game.

This should do it:

I like it. Informative, yet aesthetically pleasing. A bit too pleasing, though? Are we encouraging kids to play violent video games here? I think we should take a cue from those graphic new warning labels on cigarettes, like the ones with the dude smoking through his tracheotomy. Maybe use a crime scene photo from the Columbine shootings or something. I hear those kids played the vidya and that's why they did it.

But might a graphical representation of violence encourage kids more, after all they are buying video games because they are all violent... showing how the player might will become after playing the game could be an incentive to kids buying games for themselves. Kids can't read though, so the text warning will not encourage them, but will still inform parents that 99% of games will make their children take up murdering.

Gosh durn kids! Always have to complicate things! Why can't they just play marbles and jacks like we used to? Let's just ban this devilry and have done with!

Using batman arkham asylum is a bad example i mean what kid wouldn't want to play as the batman
