Of course not that would be the hight of stupidity, if anything you should buy all their console games to indicate it's worth them still making them. The market it will decide what they make if console gamers buy their games they will keep making them.

Also most iOS games are compatible with the last couple of generations of hardware.

If people buy their consoles games, they will be funding their iOS games.

What good console games have they made this gen that are memorable? Gears of War comes to mind. Can you think of anything else?
Maybe it's good they'll eventually stop making games for consoles. Not like they made that many good ones anyway anyway.

No their engine licensing business could find all the games they want. Making games is a side business for Epic, they made Infinity Blade as a proof of concept for their engine on iOS for example. It just happened the game made $20 million off a production budget of $2 million meaning it made 10x as much as it cost to make. Which is why they are moving a lot of development resources into iOS games, especially as the seccond game was selling faster than the first. It's not Gears of War money but it was probably a lot more profitable than Bulletstorm or Shadow Complex.

As long as consoles are a major part of the game industry they won't stop making console games. Because as they will need to show off their tech.

As for their games being "good" that is subjective, but by the most objective mesurements the Gears of War series has constantly topped 5 million units with is amazing for any series never mind an exclusive series. All their games this gen have topped 80 on metacritic and they have 3 games with 90+ which is pretty impressive. They are in the top 3 indipendent developers this generation.

Shadow Complex was one of my favorite games this generation and Gears was great as well so you can burn your silly poll. Epic is out to make money and if they can make it on the Ipad then they'd be stupid not to. Therefore, people that agree with the boycott have questionable intelligence. Stupid logic is great.

Boycott epic games? But I only buy epic games!

Ahem, no. Let Epic run their business and support the software that you think deserves it, pretty simple.

Let me understand this a little bit. A well known PS3 fan on this site is calling a boycott on a Epic which release few of the biggest exclusive games on the 360 this gen and I suppose to buy that you doing all this because the lack of Epic supporting gaming console.

i don't need to, i don't buy there games anyway aha

No, Epic rules. I don't like any of their games but they make the tech in many good games. Plus Mark Rein and Cliffy B are cool guys (forgot the name of the third guy).

So you want to boycott Epic console games to convince them that there is no market on consoles so that they will be convinced that there is a market on consoles.

Right.

Epic are not going to stop making big games. They're doing iPad games as an aside. Hopefully they'll return to making some PC games as well, since PC gaming is enjoying a resurgence.

No sense in boycotting them, they won't be abandoning consoles anytime soon.

They're just branching out, staying flexible, staying a smart company.

Yeah lets hate a company for making money.
If they see more profit in the IPhone/IPad more power to them. If they don't make as much money I don't blame them one bit.

The multiplatform route still seems to be the best way though.

It's just that simple.

But they prefer to work on iPhone/iPad which gets yearly harware releases. This is very bad for consumers if these things end up being the primary gaming platform.

$1-$15 games? Not so cheap considering the thing you play theAm on cost $600, yearly!

Suddenly these $60 PS3 or Xbox 360 games aren't looking so bad.

Don't be silly. PCs, netbooks, get updates much more frequently than that, do you have to go out and buy a new PC every 2 weeks because a new one has been released? Or do you have to replace your car every year because a new model has been released?
