Bilbao have some fantastic young players, and as a Manchester United fan I was shocked by how easy they won over the both legs. Can't help but feel that the players and most likely Sir Alex just didn't want to be in the competition. It'll will be a valuable learning experience for the young players, one they cannot forget. Credit to the Bilbao fans aswell, very humble and considerate, was nice to see them give Ryan Giggs a standing ovation.

It was hilarious.

As a Chelsea fan I got to see a great performance from my team, and see both Manchester clubs being knocked out

The issue is that we still don't have our CL qualification for next year anywhere near secure, but if we avoid defeats against City and Tottenham in the next week and a half then I think we should be in good shape

Chelsea looks like a new team... just like Sporting wich with the new coach is playing ridiculously well.

Chelsea is playing agaisnt Benfica, Benfica is very strong, here in Portugal they are in 2nd with 52p, Porto is 1st with 53p and Braga 3rd with 52p. Those 3 teams are really strong over here. Sporting is really strong but its incosistency cost the tittle this year.

It's the Europa league, It doesn't matter. Both of them will be in the champions league next year and one of them will win the league. As for Chelsea, they will beat benfica comfortably then they play barcelona, so it's over for them.

I am a little concerned, but I can't say that I fear Benfica, Chelsea should have the quality to beat them

Heard nothing but Man U weren't that interested, hearts weren't in it etc. etc.

Horseshit, they were utterly outplayed. A few of my mates are season ticket holders and even they cant believe Man U are in the top 4 let alone top of the league. They have been unimpressive for 18 months now but somehow keep grinding out results. Best days are a long way behind them. Utd need 4 or 5 massive signings or their decline will continue.

United found wanting in Europe again. Been the same many times over the years under Fergie. Man U have massively under achieved in Europe throughout Fergies reign. Lets face it they were very lucky in both of the champions league wins under him.

1 cup winners cup and 2 Champions Leagues in 26 years under Fergie for the supposed biggest team in Europe and best manager in the world is a joke. One European trophy in 13 years.... Fact is that Fergie just isn't that tactically sound when it comes to Europe.

Don't talk rubbish. Ferguson is one of the, if not best managers in the world. 2 champions leagues trophies 2 finals, only to lose to quite possibly the greatest team of all time in Barcelona. Man united may not have as good a squad as Chelsea, man city, or even totenham, but experience and unity within that squad means its not shock at all they are top. U can't look past ferguson for that.

Ok that was an exaggeration. Except for Apoel, benfica was the next best Chelsea could have hoped for. Won't be easy but I don't reckon benfica will cause Chelsea too many problems. If villas boas was still manager then I would have it at 50/50.

It was a great game last night between Sporting and MC! I`m not a supporter of Sporting (FC Porto fan here) but i was rooting for Sporting! If i was a fan i think that today i wouldn`t have any nails on my fingers! :D

Parabéns Sporting!
