It's a non-Nintendo game on a Nintendo handheld and it's sold almost half a million since its North American launch a month ago. I think it's doing fine and as time progresses, it will crawl to well over a million. Anybody want to post the first month sales of RE Wii Edition (though I know console/portable isn't an apples to apples comparison). I bet they're similar.

For the first 4 weeks, RE4: Wii Edition sold 130K units in the US, 76K in Japan and 76K in Europe but in addition to the console vs portable aspect, you also have to consider that it was the third release of RE4 and Revelations is a brand new title so I'm not sure how valid the comparison is.

The sales are alright, but I wonder if people are starting to get bored of the "same old" franchise RE is turning into. (Just my opinion, don't flip).

The game was very disappointing for me, unfortunately. When your main character is a total badass and hardly ever flinches at anything, and casually pops off zombies heads when they burst out of lockers, it ....is hard to get scared.

Not too surprising. Like others have said, it's a console style game on a handheld and it's non-Nintendo.

Great sales and then a huge crash

It would have slightly better sales if only one small adjustment was made. HAVE THE FREAKING GAME IN THE STORES. I have been looking for this game in Ontario Canada for 3 weeks and can not find it in the stores. Future Shop / Best Buy / Micro Play have had no copies in their stores for weeks, despite the fact it shows up on their web sites. I was looking for a copy bundled with the Circle Pad Pro, but now I would just like to find a standard copy. Is anyone else having trouble finding this game?

I think that fans of Nintendo are just starting to feel the heat of the Third Party software that is just starting to come. We're not that used to big-hit success third party games, but it will grow on us once we see more "hardcore" games like RE: Rev come to the 3DS. We already know that Wii-U will be supporting a lof of them.
