Yeah I'm trusting ya'll to bring me my daily fix of Nintendo awesomeness :D

My comments on the "essential gaming" on the Wii.

Dead Space Extraction - A light gun shooter where you walk and talk for several minutes, get to shoot a few Necromorphs, and then walk and talk some more. This game had more walking and talking in it than The Lord of the Rings films with less excitement attached.

Grand Slam Tennis - This game had great controls if you didn't live in the U.K. and have a faulty Wii Motion Plus.

A Boy and His Blob - Never played it.

Wario Land: Shake It! - A highly underrated platformer which I highly recommend. It would take an absolute maniac (or RolStoppable) to get 100% on this game. Highly challenging and incredibly fun.  I love the word highly.

Ah funny you post Balloon Fight for VC. Awesome game that I believe I first started playing on Animal Crossing (GC) with the NES games included. I actually just beat Balloon Kid on 3DS VC. It was pretty fun but most of the levels after awhile were pretty easy. The last level was decently hard and the final boss caused me a few problems. I love the balloon trip mode which it is pretty much identical to Balloon Fight.

First Fire Emblem game I ever played was Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon for DS.  I picked-it up last year on clearance pricing at a retail store and was immediately hooked and engrossed by it.  Great game that is severely over looked in my opinion.  The way they apply consequences to your strategies if you are reckless gives you a connection/attachment to your characters that many other games lack.  I immediately went on eBay and got Fire Emblem GBA to try and start playing them in chronological order according to their NA releases.  Now, if I could only find my Gameboy Player so I could re-attach it to my Gamecube and play the GBA Fire Emblems on my television when I'm playing at home...

Why did you unattach it in the first place?  I still have mine but it isn't doing much sitting attached to a GCN that is sitting in my closet.  I should get a small LCD just to hook some of my old systems up to.

I don`t think Nintendo is making too much Mario. The thing is that all Mario games and spin offs are too close too each other this generation. From launch to date we have had two mainline Mario games too close of each other and then add Mario Kart 7, Mario Tennis and now Paper Mario and NSMB U.
All that seems to be too close. It kinda makes you think if 3DS has seen all mainline Mario games already or not? Does Wii U need it`s NSMB at launch or could have Nintendo waited until next year to release it (leaving NSMB 2 to breathe) and elevates sales after the launch/Christmas rush?

Personally, i think Nintendo could have waited until January, at least.

Oh sorry, I was agreeing with you pretty much, while they give Mario series a breather, they could focus on some of the other titles to create more variety, like having Mario Kart 7 and SM3DL was kind of overkill.

Oh, ok!
Yeah, now`s the time for the other franchises! :D
Abouth Earthbound, i have heard so much praise and devotion that if Nintendo announces it for 3DS people are going to go crazy! Even a remake would get the job done!
It`s weird how no one speaks about Metroid 3DS, specially seeing how 3D could even help immerse players even more.

Of all the posts I read from 3 days to now, only one thing caught me by surprise and is still banging my head was that post about 4 pages back... man have I been missing out!!!

All the excitement of other games/news got eclipesed by the weird Mr. buttcheeks and the weirder (I'm seriously snickering just typing this) kunoichi gif that presented afterwards...
