The first HD One Piece game +  Dynasty Warriors franchise.

Looks what  Dynasty Warriors made with Hokuto no Ken... 385k... One Piece is waaaaaaaaaaay more popular than Hokuto... so 2x.

Hokuto Musou hit 400K according to VGC. That released on both the PS3 (371k) and the 360 (30k). ;-p 

I enjoyed that game (I got the 360 Treasure Box version.)

I think in Japan 3DS now has five sets of colours, and some collector editions 3DS models. 

Japan has 5 colors at the moment; Aqua Blue, Cosmo Black, Flare Red, Misty Pink and Ice White, with no. 6 Cobalt Blue coming later this month.

There have been quite a few collector editions as well. Off the top of my head; Zelda, Monster Hunter 3G, SD Gundam G Generation (mine!), New Love Plus (konamistyle only), MGS3D (konamistyle only), Kingdom Hearts, DQ Monsters, Fire Emblem and those 3 special giveaway ones from Nintendo (Mario, Toad, Peach).

Don't think GTA is big in Japan. There would be no point in announcing a GTA game in tomorrows Japanese Conference. If anything it would put-off many Japanese gamers. Vita needs more Japanese games, not more western ones.

Exactly what VGking said. Why would Sony Japan in a conference in Japan aimed for the Japanese market unveil GTA? It just makes no sense at all. It's like when that 4chan picture spread and one of the things on it was an English language version of Tales of Innocence. Gaming websites simply reported it without thinking about why Sony Japan would unveil a localized version of a game that had already released there. 

Also I think you (Tridrakious) are being way too optimistic. Simply annoucing games has almost no affect on sales at all. If it did then the 3DS would never have needed a price cut since we knew Mario, Mario Kart etc etc were coming. Annoucing a load of MASSIVE titles could cause a tiny increase in sales but until they actually release it's not going to have an affect. Really the only thing that Sony Japan could do at tomorrow's press conference that would increase sales immediately would be announce an price cut now in affect or that a monster hunter title was coming out tomorrow. It's really going to be more of a long term thing though.



Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

It sold over 9.5million in N.America. Where do you think it is more likely to be announced? 400k for GTA is tiny. A Western developer with a Western publisher whose game sells almost all it's copies in the West isn't going to announce a game in Japan.

Nope wrong. Halo:ODST was announced LONG before that. The first trailer was shown at TGS, but the game had already had a teaser trailer, been talked about etc. 

Even then it's a reasonably unique situation as it had been planned for E3 but wasn't really read to show .

Grand Theft Auto is a megaton franchise. I would get the announcement out there. Let's see what happens.

 

Don't over think this. Vita needs games and GTA is a big name in Japan. Obviously not as big in North America, but Japanese consumers will buy what interests them. GTA can interest them.
