Don't think GTA is big in Japan. There would be no point in announcing a GTA game in tomorrows Japanese Conference. If anything it would put-off many Japanese gamers. Vita needs more Japanese games, not more western ones.

Exactly what VGking said. Why would Sony Japan in a conference in Japan aimed for the Japanese market unveil GTA? It just makes no sense at all. It's like when that 4chan picture spread and one of the things on it was an English language version of Tales of Innocence. Gaming websites simply reported it without thinking about why Sony Japan would unveil a localized version of a game that had already released there. 

Also I think you (Tridrakious) are being way too optimistic. Simply annoucing games has almost no affect on sales at all. If it did then the 3DS would never have needed a price cut since we knew Mario, Mario Kart etc etc were coming. Annoucing a load of MASSIVE titles could cause a tiny increase in sales but until they actually release it's not going to have an affect. Really the only thing that Sony Japan could do at tomorrow's press conference that would increase sales immediately would be announce an price cut now in affect or that a monster hunter title was coming out tomorrow. It's really going to be more of a long term thing though.

GTA sells good in Japan too... over 400k.
