What Ronster said. Sony has caused great harm to gaming.

Blaming Sony for Nintendo's and Sega's mistakes would be like blaming Microsoft and Nintendo for the (relative) failure of the PS3. Additionally, their game development has certainly contributed much to gaming, far more than Microsoft or Apple.

Failure of PS3? BWhahaha ok bud, whatever you say.

The PS3 lost 40% of Son'y market share as well as almost four billion dollars. It allowed both competitors to grow their market share which allowed Microsoft to solidify their place in the market. Yes, that is a staggering failure, one of the worst in the history of video games. Additionally, from a gaming perspective the PS3 is certainly inferior to its predecessor.

This gen is nopt close to over yet.................... At the end the market share wont be that far off....
PS3 pushed bluray into homes, it launched 1.5 years after its competitor and despite a poor launched has nearly caught it and WW been selling faster then iMS. Sorry its not a staggering failure. What happens one gen dopesn't always carry over to the next, see N64 or Dreamcast. They are different market shares..
Cannot compare ps2 to PS3, ps2 had no competition.
