I didn't say it mentioned the PS3. People just seem to think they can play Vita vs. PS3. Even in some other threads on this site, people think they'll be playing Call of Duty Vita vs. Call of Duty on the PS3. Who knows? Maybe they will.

One thing I do know--Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is advertised as a "Cross platform game". How do I know? Because, as soon as I purchased the Vita version, I googled it and saw mention that people that purchased the PS3 version would get the Vita version for free. I was pissed beyond belief! Then, I did a little more research. Turns out, you don't get the Vita version for free. You can't play vs PS3 players, either. What they meant was that, if you purchase DLC on the PS3 version, you get the same DLC on the Vita version. That's your Cross Platform right there. Awesome, eh?

One could argue that's once again people not doing their research properly and not reading between the lines.

Yes, dishonest people could argue that.

Sorry? Dishonest? Please explain.

Sony very clearly stated in their press release ( http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/02/16/3-great-reasons-to-try-ps-vitaps3-cross-play-content/ ) that "DLC purchased for the PS3 version of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 can be used on the PS Vita version for free (and vice versa)."

Tell me how this is misleading in any way, shape or form.

You have a damn good point, but if people think the Vita is the shiz then I'm all for the lies. Once people realize it doesn't do it, they'll just be like ah well it still does a million other amazing things.

That is what I thought when I saw the never stop playing ad. I was like wait a sec... You can't actually play on 3G with the Vita can you? I thought it was just being able to check leaderboards, etc and not actual online gaming. If that is the case then they are totally lying.  If it is only a few games compared to all games then it isn't never stop playing all your games online.

The commercial ain't lying, its just your brains are deceiving you. My advice: use your brains better to understand the commercial, it clearly says 3G to check out leaderboards.

And I didnt even have to watch the video, only read the description. Some people...

It also says never stop playing.  Never stop playing online means more than checking a leaderboard to me.  I suppose they can just say "we said never stop playing" and didn't mention the word online even though the damn commercial was about playing online with 3G.

This is nothing new for Sony they always pull these kind of shit. A few years back they were fined for making fake movie reviews for their movies in the U.S. and UK.

Wait, so that game they were showing off, where it seemed like those people were playing against each other, actually can't be played online?

If so yeah that is misleading. If not then disregard this.

The commercial doesn't lie at all.

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d.
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.
Proud pre-orderer of 2 PS4's and an Xbox One.

Currently Playing: Dark Souls II, South Park
Playstation 4: MGS V GZ, Killzone: Shadow Fall, NBA 2k14.

I agree that this commercial is fine. Sure you could say it's misleading but so what? Pay attention and it is nothing but truth. And with wifi hotspots people could play online on their roof.

The commercial doesn't lie, it's just bad advertisement. You don't want to mislead a potential customer in which the whole basis of your business model is based on having a long healthy relationship of continual purchases. .
