I'll throw out some of my perceptions:

1. A lot of Indians that I've met with have a horrible mindset when it comes to IT. I complain about it all the time to co-workers. Just like Pakistanis, Indians are not very creative. They will not bother to iterate on anything by themselves. Its almost slave-like. Very aggravating to deal with.

BINGO

indians are not atall intelligent, they jst follow others and work hard like slaves

4. I wish your country would stop murdering Christians in some areas. Not saying all Hindus do it, but when I read about people being murdered for their religious beliefs, I am very saddened to hear it. Especially when many of the missionaries are trying to bring education and help to the people.

that happens rarely

also conversion by money is banned in india cause catholic and islamic missionaries forward their ideas

education isn't what you think, its like you said above.education in india is jst to educate people to fight towards a particular cause not to have free thinking which education should really be

It's held back by corruption, political dynasties and the caste system.

Ah, yes. I forgot about this one.

The caste system is seriously terrible.

not really

caste system was originally like USA capitalistic system

india is ruled by money changers and profit minded shit making people

the brahmins actually are poor people in india, most of them

So you think multi-culturalism sucks and that a caste system is good?

No offense but I think I understand part of the reason India is the way it is.

what does multiculturalism and caste system have to do with each other?

Hello,I am from India.

As my country is developing and rising country.Economists talk about India playing a big role in global trade.

But if you ask me India is nowhere near what people talk about.India is kinda of a slave country. And because of this people in india are jst behind money. Our buisnesses are like the Banks of USA and other Monopolistic and fraud business

Anyways i was jst trying to get info on perception of India around the world.

So post your mind of India and indians if you know or have met any.

Everybody knows india is a 3rd world dictatorship regardless of what anyone says on the news trying to paint a positive picture.

I hope the OPs question gives me immunity from a ban for insulting, thought were asked for, thoughts were given.

I've never been there and declined the opportunity to recently but that's my interpretation of the situation. Censorship has got very bad in recent years according to various sources.

At least it's generally Christian which means it's a 100x a better place to go than some muslim dictatorship nations where you're likely to be hung drawn and quartered for picking your nose.

india is not christian and its not atall dictatorship.

it is jst a multiculturalism mess(which never works)

Multiculturalism works great. Just ask Bulgaria.

how multicultrual is it?

nothing is as multicultural as INDIA

When 20% Muslim, 20% Jews, 20% Hindus, 20% christian, and 20% Atheist or other make up a country's total population of over 20m and live in total peace and harmony then yes, I would then believe multiculturalism can work.

It's kinda hard to truly judge how or if it works when one culture is an overwhelming majority.

Well, they did make one of the most amazing movies ever.

#4 - Yes, its rare, but still sad to hear when such things happen.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

My perception of movies is based solely on movies and other forms of media, so my perception is extremely ignorant, like most people in my community. From what I have learned (which is very little considering I've never went out of my way to learn about the country) the country's citizens are very religious and poor. I know that's ignorant, but that's the view that's been placed in my mind.

EDIT: OH, and there is an issue with overcrowding, though I think there is some truth to that statement.

Don't know if it means much but isn't India on the US "bad list" of countries when it comes to religious tolerance.
