Coming off of the Wii’s full unveiling in 2006, developers and consumers alike maintained a great deal of skepticism about the console. You could argue that the Wii U is now finding itself in a similar position.

Even so, ZombiU producer Guillaume Brunier believes that the new system could end up being more popular than its predecessor. Brunier pointed to the GamePad’s touchscreen as one factor that can help “get Wii U further than Wii got.”

“When they released the Wii a few years ago, I don’t think developers–and Nintendo–anticipated how big it would become. I think this is going to be the case with the Wii U too. Touchscreen interfaces are so common to everyone right now, that having this as part of a gaming platform is really going to get Wii U further than Wii got.”

That last statement doesnt even make sense.  Wii was successful because it introduced a way of gaming that did not exist.  I dont see how something "so common to everyone right now" expands anything.

The best 3rd party showing so far has been Ubisoft. EA seems to be kind of lazy.

Well here is a bump for the thread and an article on what they possible game cases look like. If the target pic is to be believed the cases this time around may be blue.

I like the blue around the cover. I just wish they could have done something new (covers look like the GC ones).

NSMB U is gonna release during the launch window.. I fully expect it to be early 2013, when the Wii U has a small but still more established base. I actually wouldn't be surprised if it were pushed to the summer. The Nintendo launch games I expect are Pikmin, Wii Fit U, Wario and Nintendo Land.
