You can have both you know.....I suggest taking a look at the PS3 exclusives line-up for 2011. If Sony who is losing tons of money can put out so many high quality games, why can't Microsoft?

They can, they just don't see a need (and they'd be right) at this point there is no need to pump out the amount of exclusives Sony are (and Sony as much admitted themselves they make too many)

Sorry but we shouldn't support the fact that MS deliver less exclusives. Fans should be on MS's case and not accept it. MS make enough money from gamers and more should be pumped back in for the loyal gamers.

I think gamers would disagree.

The only reason Sony makes so many exclusives is because they try to have as much variety as possible. And they do. They have the most diverse amount of exclusives for core gamers.

That's the PS3's selling point, MS don't need that to sell the 360 (clearly).

If we were in some utopian world then I'm sure all 3 could throw out 20 amazing exclusives a year, but for MS it does not make business sense to do that.

If gamers would disagree, then why was more Software sold on the 360 in 2011 than on the PS3, despite all those exclusives?

The 360 has more than enough variety really. 3rd parties provide more than enough, XBLA provides even more and now Kinect expands that even further.

OT:
Looks like I can mark Fable on my list of things I expect to be revealed!

Microsoft needed to have better quality control paying for games like Ninja Blade, the Too Human trilogy and Ninety-nine Nights. It was a fail even paying SIlicon Knights for a trilogy. They've had a horrible track record this gen. Sony's quality control is way higher.

At this rate the 360 is selling on multiplayer and casual games. The core have to take what they can get compared to the first three years of the 360's life. When you see commercials like "Long Live Play" You know what Sony is all about.

The problem is Microsoft has lost so much money developing first party. Its third party thats their cash cow outside of Halo. Sony has equal quality from first to third party, but it less commercially known. If it isn't known to anyone but the core, it doesn't matter. Microsoft is covered.

That's exactly what it's selling on, and this late in the gen they don't need to sell to that core userbase (I'd say the majority) already made their purchases long ago.

You and I both know MS will do right during the early years of the nextbox life, similar deals to what we saw on 360, new IP, new studios ect.

Outside of the cost of Rare how on earth do you come up with that?

The casual, misinformed market.

The 360 doens't have much variety. All those 3rd party games, also on PS3. Besides Kinect, there isn't much to differentiate the Xbox 360 from a PS3. 1st party exclusives are supposed to do that. This is where the Xbox 360 is lacking.

But hey the Xbox 360 keeps breaking records. If Microsoft keeps focusing on the casual, they don't need core exclusives.

Give me Halo 4, Ryse, Witcher 2 and GTA v :D
