I don't think it's such a big deal, it's logical really. They get the license to make an official olympics game, probably cost a decent chunk of money, now they must recoup that. They make an olympics game for wii using some characters that will boost sales especially among the demographic. But still bearing the license they continue to use it in order to profit from what they bought. Now do they create yet another olympic game on the same system to compete with the first one they made, or do they make another one that would appeal to the common demographic on two other systems in order to reach even more people? It's really just a logical thing to do, and I doubt it's going to be some incredible 30 million dollar budget game (it's sega we're talking about). It will probably be no better than M&S and probably not sell as well.
