I've lost faith in the Wii a long time ago, 2 seconds before Rolstoppable.

You see? "Wii will get a port". Let's put the graphically poor (Yes, I own it), family friendly, party game on Wii and use the big profits from it to fund an even bigger and better game on platforms where we haven't ever had success and probably won't this time. Oh, and the Wii may get a cut down port if we're merciful.

That's the last non-Nintendo company I had any respect for gone.

You do realize Sega is using profits from M&S for other games BESIDES Beijing 2008, right?

But what about Capcom, and Ubisoft, and Namco? They're still okay, right? 

 You do realize I was not being serious about just the money for this. It was the point I wanted to make.

densiyrex - Wait until you see the game on 360/PS3 before you make a judgement at least. For sure it'll be more diehard, and for sure it won't sell nearly as well. I doubt their going to spend a ton of cash on this, just what they figure they can recoop + profit while the Olympics are on.

So what was the point?

I mean, is there an Olympics game that actually sold better than M&S recently?

People are drawing conclusions that Beijing 2008 will be super excellent and will fly off the shelves and Wii owners will miss out on the Olympics game they'll miss out on, and I want to put this in perspective before mass hysteria breaks out.

the wii gets mario and sonic and friends

the other consoles get the official license meaning the official people. That participate ( wii never did)

Next to that they get  online play( they did not even think about putting online play in m&s)

and last they get a special control way.Who knows sega could include a wiimote clone a like and sell millions just because of that it will have the same controls as the wii but with the real license and online play.

I could see sega actually do that.
