Forums - General - "Anti-gay" bill passed in St. Petersburg

What do you think of this?

This is ridiculous, it's 2012! 73 25.26%

Backwards and ignorant 64 22.15%

This makes me sick 24 8.30%

I support this 84 29.07%

This poll is slightly biased 26 9.00%

I'd go gay for Andrespetmonkey 18 6.23%

Total:289

At least the orthodox people who are against gay rights have the strength to stand up for what they believe in despite heavy opposition. They should be commended for this.

me?

Ofc not dude.

Can't believe how many people voted that they would support this bill. I was torn between 'This makes me sick' 'Backwards and ignorant' and 'This is ridiculous, it's 2012!'

I'm sure some day people will look back on the treatment of homosexuals in society/law and be just as embarrassed/ashamed as looking back to when women didn't have the vote etc.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

@TruckOSaurus
They shouldn't talk about it in school. Just like they shouldn't talk about religious or political views.

It's just against the PROMOTION of gay/lesbian activity, nothing else, so relax people.

I am not against homosexuals, but I am against the promotion of gay/lesbian activity. So I support this.

@Marks
I agree 100%. That is why I hate "gay parades" or really any minority group that strives for acknowledgement from the general populace. Makes me sick honestly. That being said, I don't want anyone to have limited rights although I am against gay marriage because I view marriage as religious institution between a man and a woman ONLY, and one that I don't think the government should have a role in either.

ORTHODOXY OR DEATH !!!!!!

OT: So the kids at school wont have Stephen and Philip talking them how its ''natural'' and ''faaaabolus'' to be like them. Cry me a fucking river

@pezus
Yes. Why should gays be treated specially? Where are my"straight parades"? Where is my straight community? What about my straight rights? What makes them different from me? Nothing! They shouldn't be treated differently from me because they feel "threatened" and because they are a minority. If anything, the majority should be the one to push others around,which i disagree with, but minorities ave no right to spread their agenda to people who don't care. Sorry if you disagree with me because at the end of the day, I fail to see how the three beliefs I mentioned are incomparable.

You can't equate talking about religion and politics with talking about homosexuality. Religion and politic are based on beliefs and opinions and I agree that schools shouldn't promote any particular point of view in these domains but homosexuality is something that many students are struggling with. These kids need to know they're not alone, that they can be accepted even if they're attracted to the same sex, that there's help available to support them.

Too many people make the mistake of confusing talking about homosexuality in school with gays trying to "recruit" new members to our "cause".

Signature goes here!

The risks associated with the homo sexual life style are traumatic. Anything to dissuade people to engage in this type of activity is a good thing.
