I think they should only stick with these franchises:

Gran Turismo
God of War
Uncharted
LittleBigPlanet
Infamous
Killzone (I'm not too sure about this one really)

lol that's basically the PS3 all over again. Also, you've listed franchises from most of the major studios already, so there won't be too many new IPs from the few remaining studios.

Well minus a few:

Resistance, Motorstorm, Ratchet & Clank, Wipeout, Starhwak/Warhawk, Twisted Metal, Sly Cooper.

They should all be scrapped.

Studios that could work on new IP's- Naughty Dog (recent expansion) SSM, Evolution and SCE London/Cambridge.

I was suggesting though that most of the studios try their hand at a new IP. Maybe all but SSM and Polyphony digital, God of War and GT should ship much, much sooner on the next sony console.

I want Kingdom Hearts 3 and that is all.

Uncharted 4 - this goes without saying. It's too big of a franchise to not continue it now. I'd love to see it in 60 frames per second. Seems like this franchise gets soooo much better from a technical standpoint every time it releases.

God of War IV - Yes. Save it for PS4. Or maybe do what Nintendo did with Zelda when they released it on both the GameCube and also had it on Wii's launch.Put GOWIV on both PS3 and an upgraded version for PS4's launch, with 60fps, higher resolution, and some bonus stages. This makes sense because GOW IV is likely to release early 2013, and PS4 is likely to be release late 2013. Gives devs enough time to enhance the experience for PS4 and add a few DLC-type stages.

Twisted Metal Whatever - I love the new one that just came out on PS3. Since theyre talking about making a movie about Sweet Tooth, it only makes sense they would continue this franchise.

Gran Turismo 6 - insert joke about 2020 launch date here. Whatever. GT is the king of racing sims.

Quantic Dream next project - Again, save it for PS4. Heavy Rain was a great experience, and I can't wait to see what they have next.

Metal Gear Solid 5 - It will happen.

In addition...

The Last of Us 2 - You know its going to be awesome and turn into a franchise continued on PS4. Sony needs to thank the heavens for Naughty Dog, because theyre pumping out incredible games. I think their goal is to get on 2 year cycles with both franchises (Uncharted and TLOU).... Kind of like how Insomniac used to release R&C every 2 years, and then a new Resistance every 2 years, so they had a game coming out every year. I dont think TLOU will be a one and done experience, but rather it will have a story that will be continued on PS4 and will probably be one of the most anticipated titles for PS4 kind of like how God of War 3 was on PS3.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2 - Unless the first one is a major flop (less than 1m sold), this franchise will continue.

LittleBigPlanet 3D - People think its the type of game that's done as much as it possible can, and wont evolve any further. What if they took it to the next level and made it fully 3D like Super Mario 64

Boom.  Just what I was about to suggest.  Heck, even the numbers work - it's home-console LittleBigPlanet 3, just stick a nice extra dimension in the game and a D in the title.

Anyway, franchises that I'd want to see continue on the PS3:

WipEout:  Every single Playstation console has launched with a WipEout game (except the PS3, and look how that turned out!)  HD Fury is the best installment since 2097, it introduced so many new gameplay mechanics since that time and showed that the series can still be going strong.  Don't want to see it dropped.

Ratchet and Clank: I think this generation's R&C games showed that the series can change and do things differently (SMG-esque gravity mechanics, time-puzzle mechanics) while telling a great story and being true to the originals.  Probably my favourite mascots for the Playstation at this point.  Only thing is, I'd want Insomniac to continue making them - and I'm not sure that would be possible anymore.  Still, here's hoping.

God of War: BUT! change things up.  End Kratos' story with Ascention, start afresh like Jaffe's original plan for the series.  Tell some new mythology.

Any of their JRPG catalogue: Seriously, Sony have a number of IP's they could ressurrect - Legend of Dragoon, Wild ARMs, Alundra etc. that I'd much rather have Japan Studio working on, rather than White Knight Chronicles.  Heck, create a new one if they have to.

Aside from these 3, I'm pretty sure we're going to see new Gran Turismo, Uncharted, Killzone and The Last of Us on the PS4.  GT is a money-printing machine so I have no problem with that.  TLOU is hopefully going to be a hit, so it would be nice to see some more of them.

I'm actually kinda tentative about Uncharted.  Naughty Dog have traditionally created a brand new trilogy IP for each Sony console, and I'd like to see them do this again for PS4 - I want to see what they can come up with.  Having one team work on The Last of Us and the other on Uncharted wouldn't leave much room for innovation.

Killzone I'd rather they drop - the series has never appealed to me.  But I doubt they will, haven't Guerilla already confirmed Killzone 4?

Anyway, what I want to see is about 20 new killer IP's just like we had for this generation.  I'm excited about SSM's shooter project, I hope it's a colourful, fast-paced affair rather than the dark and depressing Resistance that we got this generation.

I'm excited to see new IP's from Sucker Punch, Media Molecule, Japan Studio, Evolution Studios & Bend - a full home console release.  Hopefully they'll come up with someone good!

Well here is my list

Uncharted 4 ( simply because its so an awesome game, let it be a launch title)
God of War 4
Gran Turismo 6
Little Big Planet 3 3D
The Last of us 2 ( we all know The Last of us will be awesome, so part 2 is welcome for me)
Playstation All Stars PS4
Sucker Punch New IP
Quantik Dream New IP
Team Ico New IP
Guerilla Games New IP
Santa Monica Stdios New IP
Sly 5
Kindom hearts 3
Soul Sacrifice 2

Around the Network

I don't think I want to see a sequel to The Last of Us.

It doesn't need a sequel. I feel like it can tell it's story most effectively in one game, as a stand-alone piece of fiction.

With the way The Last of Us is turning out and knowing what ND want it to be, giving it a sequel would be like giving The Road or No country for old men a sequel.

New IPs preferably. I want to see new things that weren't possible in the previous gens. Maybe a new first-party Western style RPG and a new open world game.

Look at bolded. I'm not speaking conclusively. This is just my feeling about the game from what we've seen and from what ND has said. And we do know quite a bit about the story and what ND is aiming for so I'd say my opinion is justified.

games and experiences that I haven't experienced this generation, which is the norm for Sony so no worries on that front
