Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony Can’t Produce Enough PS2s and PSPs to Meet Demand

People are still buying the PS2? Japan has to be the best market for HandHelds and H-Systems; they let a console die when it should... except they are still kind of buying the PS2...
All the attention needs to be put on the new consoles, Sony should dis-continue the PSP Go and their 2000 series (if they're still making that one.) And then they need to dis-continue the 3000 before Holiday of next year.

Probably most PS2s sold today are replacement units.
In Japan, PS2 is still big with cheap used games.

PS3 will never dead.

PSP will always have games, problem is they're all probably Japanese. Western devs didn't really warm up to the PSP.

What kind of madness??

No one supports their consoles better then Sony, really, Sony doesn't get enough credit.

Don't agree, at first maybe, the last few years it's had a lot of good western games.

Thankfully the PS3 and PS Vita are giving them no such problems.

Pigs manufacture our consoles now? That's probably the cheapest labor you can find! Well done, Sony.

But wow, PS2 has some serious legs. Not that surprising either since there are a lot of cheap, good games for it.

Sony's credit rating was lowered recently. They can't get credit as easy as they'd like. :P

But seriously, they do support their systems a long time, which is a good thing. If you have a lot of games it's nice to be able to find a replacement console easily. (However, the record for longest production/support still belongs to Nintendo, who produced their Famicom from 1983 to 2003! O.O)
