Currently there is roughly a 3 million sales gap(+/-0.5 million) between X360 and PS3 in ltd sales. Both systems have slowed down recently in weekly sales. The yearly totals for both PS3 and X360 for 2012 are projected to sell around 80% of their peak sales in 2011. 

Based on current sales trending downwards the PS3 may equal the X360 sales within two or three years. Assuming the PS3 outsells the X360 by 1 to 1.5 million sales in in the next two or three years. Currently the PS3 is marginally outselling the X360 in weekly sales.

PS3 is priced higher than the X360 and has more room for price cuts. However the popularity of the Kinect, good bundle, Halo 4, Call of Duty sells more on X360 may offset some of the momentum of the PS3 price cut and other PS3 offerings in 2012.

Not really, Sony is bleeding money they cant afford anymore cuts.

I predicted 1st half 2014 but im not sure, Microsoft will cut the price of Xbox and Kinect this year and sales will rise after August so its anyone´s games.

Microsot doesnt cut Xbox 360 price since 2008, Kinect should already be at 99$ and Xbox Arcade at 149$ or 129$.

IDK, but like kowenicki stated i don't think many people care anymore. I'm looking forward to the next generation of hardware. It has been 7 years for Xbox so a new console is overdue.

I would say first half of 2014.

360 will have another great run this year (price drop to combat WiiU, Halo 4, no successor), then sales will begin to dwindle a bit in 2013 with the launch of the NeXtBox.

when the 360 is discontinued and not before.

There will most likely be an Xbox 360 price cut this year so I don't think PS3 has a chance to win this year despite the lead it currently has this year. So unless PS3 also gets a price cut I don't expect the gap to lower significantly any time soon.
