Forums - Nintendo - How did all the Nintendo fans end up on this site?

Do you like Nintendo?

Not a nintendo fan, but just felt like posting in this thread, I only have a 360, so I can guess I can be classed into the MS crowd, but honestly, I could give less shit, it's the console I brought, and I stuck with it. Not going to defend MS vehemently as some people do. I just defend the console :p

But honestly, now I think there are more Sony fans than Nintendo, not as many as there was a year ago, but still more probably.

P.S I also enjoy bitch fights in almost every thread

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Momentum, in my case. Back in my lurker days of late 2008, i was feeling quite disillusioned with most gaming communities as they had turned against Nintendo quite severely after the E3 08 debacle, places where even the site-runners and writers were openly trolling Nintendo and no-one was really being held accountable for it (i'm really thinking about Joystiq.com here, a site that i stopped visiting altogether this year as part of a small new year's resolution). I came to this site and discovered a place where Nintendo had a positive image, and in digging through conversations, found that many of the normal arguments that slid on other sites were simply not tolerated here.

As much as we have complained and/or observed the decline of the VGChartz community, it's strength is still in its relative civility and relatively high level of discourse, and this high discourse allows Nintendo fans to breathe without constantly getting bombarded by editorials and braindead comments with an anti-Nintendo slant. Hell, even GoNintendo was infested with negative nancies and outright haters for a while, though as i continue going there for news, i've noticed that the quality of comments has picked up.

There are very few sites where Wii is given its fair share, or even acknowledged as one of the consoles (except at E3, and even then, the disparity in coverage between the Sony/Microsoft E3's and the Nintendo one is quite horrifying), and where such sites exist, the community reflects them. VGChartz and its community at the very least give Nintendo due respect, and the outright haters are dealt with justly.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Pretty much what Mr Khan said, I was going to post something along those lines

I'm a competitive person. What drew me here? The sweet, sweet victory displayed on the front page, of course!

Gamespot has lots of Nintendo fans too. Depending on where you are on the site.

I became a Nintendo fan when I exchanged my launch PS2 + ~20 games for,

Gamecube + Metroid Prime + Starfox Adventures + REmake

Later I got Zelda, Smash Bros etc. etc. all.

Best gaming decision of my life. I will always pay for Nintendo games if they stick to their roots.

I came here because a ROL thread fascinated me.

I give very little shit about sales data.

Yea, I did too and I was tired of the joke site that I first looked at....  I don't even know if I should mention the name...

"¡Viva la Ñ!"

Like my quote below..............

it's all about my RESPECT for one of the greatest gaming companies of all time.

Nintendo, Sega & Capcom were and still are responsible for MOST of the happiest times i have had playing games throughout the years.

From my experience Nintendo fans have been chased off most major gaming sites be it through lack of Nintendo content or trolls infesting the place. This has since extended to Nintendo fans not even being able to post on dedicated Nintendo websites without a multitude of trolls turning up.

I came here to look up some data, I started reading some threads and noticed there was an active Nintendo community.
