special price???? The game has been selling discounted for awhile. It should never have cost 60 bucks in the first place. If you dont get it your missing out IMHO. Its a damn good game. Get it for PS3 if you have too

Ubi made a mistake by releasing it in retail form - it should have been released as 15$ download title.

For Vita it can also be downloaded I think. But the price is the same: 2500 Yen. :/

Maybe the 3DS version won't be part of the anniversary promotion anymore... Are there more games launched with the same 2500 yen promotion?

I don't know of other titles...

Ubi just wants YOU to pay full price :P

Hopefully it's an error and you can try it. Or maybe they are just doing you a favour... you never know.

at first I would have agreed with you, charging 60 bucks for a game that was goin g to be a DL, they must have thought we were stupid.  But they were able to get it out to gamers who would not have been able to play otherwise, like Wii and 3ds owners.  And its not like the price didnt drop like a rock soon after. And they did say they made money, so I dont know what to think

as for the game not being released on 3ds in Japan, I have no clue. Dont know why that would happen, all I know is that is just another fine example of why region coding is f*****g b******t

IMHO there's no space on PS3/X360 for full price platformers no matter how good they are. Even LBP with lot more hype and exclusivity only got decent sales after huge price drop.

It also wouldn't hurt delayed 3DS version any more than Rayman PS3/x360 copies laying in bargain bins around shops now.

As for Wii i think it wouldn't matter much anyway - Wii consumer isn't the type who reads about games online.

I dont think I agree with that too much, they just need the right game. LBP 2 sold pretty good well before a price drop. There just are no Marios adn DKs on those systes, so they dont have the benefit of franchises that have been around forever. Sonic Generations is doing pretty well on PS3 and Wii, better than Colors did, and thats not even adding the sales of the two.

Yeah Wii consumers wouldnt read about games online, but there are plenty of games that have sold well with little ad time on the system, like Zumba, or maybe they dont care about platformers outside of the Ninty ones??

The 3DS version is not mentioned on the official page of the game:
http://www.ubisoft.co.jp/raymanorigins/#/stage1
But the page on Ubisoft's site exists, and it also mentions a 4/12 release.

What gives?

The 3DS version has been delayed worldwide to June, that could explain the magical disappearance.

Thanks. :)
I hope it'll be out in June then.
