The game media is based on Blu-ray but it won't have Blu-ray movie playback (at least not directly).

The rEVOLution is not being televised

Man I'm totally on your side, I also don't care. To me, 3D is an absolute gimmick, a wow factor that is amazing at the first glimpse, but that you completely forget after a moment when you concentrate on the gameplay. I don't want to invest on a 3D TV. I remember, when I tried a 3DS at the shop, I was wowed bu the effect, then I played by deactivating the 3D effect because It was better for playing !!!

However, If Paper Mario 3D is done right, and 3D is a part of the gameplay, then it can be interesting. But only Nintendo is able of doing this at the moment...

Kinda interesting... imagine a FPS shooter where the screen isn't just a scope, but a 3D scope.

3D seems to be the main motivation of Nintendo to establish a screen on the controller as a new standard.

God, I hope not...

There are so many advantages to the touch screen controller/streaming idea.  From having a new kind of tactile interface to alternate views to possibly a local LAN effect when playing multiplayer, the WiiU and its controller could offer so many possibilities.  I would think that the fact that they can make the screen 3D is merely an extra feature and not the main idea behind its origin.

OT:  Being a sucker for HD, that part does interest me, even on a small screen where it's not as noticeable.

this is most likely for the headset they will release later
