I played a lot of those games and some, I just played the demo. Quite a few of those games were overlooked for good reason--they really did suck. Also, quite a few of them weren't overlooked at all!

1. Vanquish--bought it. It rocks!
2. Pure. -not my type of game.
3. Shadows of the Damned -bought it full price. One of the boss battles was broken. I even looked at youtube for a strategy. Doing everything exactly as they did, I still couldn't damage the boss. Haven't played it, since. It wasn't all that good, anyway.
4. El Shadai -Has been on on my list of "to buy" games for a while. I will be getting it, soon.
5. Castlevania- Again, on my list of must buy games. Haven't gotten it yet but I will
6. Wet- I got bored before the end of the demo. Quite a janky game. I buy anything with a hot chick but this game turned me off.
7. Orange Box-bought it and loved it. How is this game overlooked!? It had Portal on it!!
8. Child of Eden-I bought it. Great game!
9. IL-2 Sturmovik- Yeah. I had no intention of ever playing this. Don't know a thing about it.
10. Bayonetta--I bought it. Amazing game! It sold well, too.
11. Red Faction Guerilla: Pretty good game. I bought it from Movie Gallery when they were going out of business. It was scratched up, though. I wound up taking it back and swapping it for Brutal Legend.
12. Bulletstorm: Didn't really like the demo.
13. Mercenaries 2: Had this game for PS3. It was garbage.
14. Dark Souls: Difficulty scared me away. Never even tried it. I bought Dragon Age Origins instead.
15. Resisitance 3: I hated Resistance 1. I tried and hated Resistance 2. R3 never had a chance.
16. Yakuza 4: May have to give this series a try. I hear good things about it.
17. Valkyria Chronicles: One of the best games this gen. Of course, I bought it!
18. Prince of Persia: Great game but not as polished as the old ones (and Warrior Within was awesome, btw. aside from the art style, it wasn't emo at all.) I kinda forgot I had it!
19. Kane and Lynch 2: Was interested but reviewers tore this game a new asshole. I never tried it.
20 End War: Not my type of game.

What about Enslaved, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Modnation Racers, Top Spin 4, Dirt 3, Rayman Origins...

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

only played 6 of those....but I approve this list...and list that has Castlevania: Lord of Shadows as one of their best games gets a thumbs up from me

I liked both Warrior Within and the 2008 reboot better than The Forgotten Sands. I like Bayonetta, but it's not as good as Ninja Gaiden / Ninja Gaiden Black / Ninja Gaiden Sigma. I didn't like The Orange Box. Portal really frustrated me, and I think Half Life 2 is extremely overrated.

How can a 4-5 hour game frustrate you?

Just reread the list and realised that I bought 3/20 games.

-Child of Eden is a good game and for £12 (plus a child of eden t-shirt), I don't mind the fact that it was really short.

-Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is one of the best games I've played in years. My only complaint would be that the battle is a bit shallow, though I do realise that it doesn't matter that much since it's a platformer.

(bought Wet used for £5, but never bothered playing it).

They should really add Metro 2033. Top-notch atmosphere and overall experience.

It currently sits at 0.55 million units worldwide :(

Should add Majin and the Forsaken kingdom. Picked it up for $10 and had more fun with it then skyward sword.
El Shaddai was really good too.
Child of eden is on my to buy list. Still $40 here.

Oh My God! So many of those sound like such great games that I can't believe I never played or even heard of them! Wish to God I could find a free download or something because I'm disabled & can't get my SSDI, so absolutely no income!

I played The Orange Box. In fact, I own it. This list is irrelevant xD
