This is a thread by Galaki people... It isn't like he is serious about the Wii U being grouped with the 360/PS3. I enjoyed the joke and it looks like a decent amount of people fell for it (especially people that should have known not to fall for it- Joecool, etc..)

Funny thing is that a few HD console owners do think the Wii U isn't next generation. Hey, whatever you gotta do to make sure that Nintendo sales don't "count" right??? Talk about cherry picking shit (and I mean shit as in poop).

I'm assuming you mean individually, I know next to nothing about 8th gen home consoles, but I don't expect the WiiU to sell more than the PS3 and 360's total sales combined.

Imho x720 will be a leader next gen. They have the casual market in grip right now plus they have core market and plenty of loyal customers.

With how the Sega 32x, Sega CD and Sega Saturn were handled the Sega Dreamcast couldn't really be considered a major competitor to the PS2. The XBox 360 launching first is one of the main reasons Microsoft has already sold more than 40 Million more XBox 360s than they sold XBox Systems.

As for the "in name only", until Microsoft or Sony sell more units than Nintendo that is 100% BS

You think people will be flogging back to system which offered them something like 2 good games in 2011 ?

Possibly Next Box will win the next console generation. Making it three different corporation winning three console sales generations.

Wii U is 8th G and competing against PS4 and Next Box. PS3 and XBox 360 will become obsolete as soon as their successors emerges. Wii U is not competing against 7th G, it is getting a head start on the 8th G.

I am going to just repost a post I just did in another thread that is actually probably more appropriate for this thread even though it is a semi joke thread to start with. This is me being serious though...

I think your wrong on not admitting the entire tablet craze that is going on throughout the world. I believe if marketed right Nintendo can ride to the top with the help of having a tablet like controller able to do many things that a basic controller can't do. At first I was like bleh... that might be alright when I was first exposed to it. I am decently impressed after watching a few Nintendo demo videos on what they are thinking of implementing for the controller. I see the future and the future is Nintendo on top again.

When the DS launched touch controls were labeled as fad (now you have almost all phones being touch phones). When the Wii launched motion controls were labeled as a fad (now you have all 3 with motion controls). Notice amazingly how it was Sony PR that successfully labeled both touch and motion as fad. Tablets are already a fad before the Wii U launches so how can you not say it won't be a success if marketed right, has a good price point, and great games.

I finally wanted to show you that even though I am a Nintendo die hard fan I know when companies are making a come back or about to explode. I saw it back before the Wii was even released. Hell, I was even interviewed by the Texas Tech newspaper since at the time I made a Nintendo Fan Club Facebook group (back when it was for college students only).

Actually, I wasn't too confident but it was probably because it was 2006 and the guy surprised me with the phone interview while I was in middle of a marijuana session... Here was my lack of confidence...

"Nintendo might come back," he said. "They're definitely coming back in Japan."  I just wish he quoted me with Nintendo will come back...

Thus Nintendo coming in and delivering a better touch screen home console gaming experience before any other company.  Nintendo knows when to capitalize.
