Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo has hired employees from Naughty Dog, Visceral, Vigil, Insomniac... and apparently Crytek

Oh good grief a Retro game in HD *drools*. Retro have to be one of the most under-appreciated developers. I blame the fact people are so graphics focused so most attention is on the HD systems.

The metroid prime trilogy are 3 of the greatest games ever made. Just truly fantastic.

Also MP 1 and 2 are two of the best looking games from the PS2 era. They often get overlooked but both were stunning. Likewise MP3 on wii was a visual stunner for that console.

Then they did the also fantastic reboot of DK: Country. Which luckily managed to get some massive sales.

Still have a bit of a sore spot that Raven Blade was cancelled though..... *sigh*

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

Happy dolphin I am using my phone. I cannot use edit or quote or even a new topic. It sucks ass but I am now able to post a quick reply.

Dude, how do you WOT from a phone? You're an amazing man. ;)

On a more serious note, well, at least we get to enjoy your writing, even if it's on a little phone.

I don't want to get my hopes up just yet. It remains to be seen if Nintendo actually does anything good with these guys and in what direction they plan on going. Great graphics obviously but will the types of games they produce be different?

The BuShA owns all!

It seems as if the WiiU would be launching sometime next year, because we only had a year's notice(since last year's E3) and will be about a year and a half, but I can't wait for it to release this year. Nintendo seems to know what they are doing.

I use my phone too. Try disabling javascript. The "quote" button doesn't appear on my phone, but it's still clickable. You just have to figure where the button is. That's the case on my phone, at least.

I am hoping the new staff at Retro signal Nintendo is finally getting them to produce a new IP. They are capable of creating an amazing IP and Nintendo should stop giving them existing IP. This is the start of a new generation perfect timing for a new IP also with Miyamoto's new IP Nintendo could definitely have the next Mario on their hands. But to create a new Pokemon or Zelda or Mario you need to take your most talented teams and get them to make something new.

I would love to see a western IP from Retro. Whether it is GPS or a western RPG or another amazing game. Maybe something grand new. Retro is just full of so much potential it seems a waste to keep them making entries to existing IP. Or maybe Retro could hire another 100 or so employees expanding development capabilities to enable them to produce new IP and a licensed title simultaneously.

Incoming game about a cute dragon with half tuck jeans and a lovable robot sidekick, sporting the best graphics, ever!

I'd so buy that game! :D sounds like an 80's cartoon ;)

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Nintendo are scary now.

The only mistake Nintendo did it's the Wii, the other console are done for Ninty fan, that's what Nintendo was always about from the very start.

With all these experienced people maybe on the WiiU we will have shorted development times, that was always a problem for Nintendo.

Because maybe people does not know, but the big N it's not a so big company, they try to do great things almost all the time with no big resources.

Nintendo is becoming stronger, it's true, but it's only recent.
