But Nintendo ultimately decides a specific date or week. 

Either way, no matter how you slice it, RE released the same week as Vitas first semi-relevant title. This caused 3DS to gain more spotlight and minimalize the Vita boost. 

Excellent move by Nintendo, coincidence or not. 



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

lol timing Mario Kart, Mario 3D and Monster Hunter when the Vita launched was too funny! We all know the sales difference there :P

looks like tales helped Vita along, top 4 is as expected. Vita over PSP wan't expected but with tales it's not surprising. PSP will be back over Vita soon with more JRPG's coming out for it before yr' end.

Most likely the last week Wii is over 10k until Golden Week...



PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

They are doing the same with the vita launch in America and Europe I believe. Although I do not think it will work as well.

 

 

@Salnax was talking about games being released. Game Gear games and other great e-shop games are on they're way as well!

MGS: 3D, RE: REVELATIONS, Tales of the Abyss, MandS at the London Olympics [3DS], PokePark 2, and Rhythm Heaven all release around the time the PSVITA Releases in America.

From the comments on here not many people have doubts in it anymore. Everyone is saying that its great its great its doing well, which it is doing well. 

That 2D Mario doesn't need to be released until Spring... It actually must come out before the Wii U so it won't side-track potential Wii U customers. My Holiday 2D Mario for the 3DS prediction has been erased I now predict it will come out Spring to early Fall of this year or Holiday of next year.
