Technically they were correct. All Xbox 360 games are upscaled to 1080p internally and output 1080p if desired. The PS3 can't upscale games with non standard resolutions to 1080p. Not being a fanboy and upscaled doesn't = genuine 1080p rendering of course, not even close.

Yeah I know that but the manager clearly didn't know the difference between native and upscaled, I had to explain that to him. He was going on about SR3 only being 720p on PS3 lol.

I thought they were going trying a new strategy of only used games at first.

Spent a couple of weeks in England, and I agree, too many gaming stores. This street in Liverpool had like four right beside each other - someone has to be the odd one out.

HMV is shit... no new console... been out of stock of Wii - 3DS - DS - all december

PS3 went sold out in Xmas.

They still do not have WII and 3DS in some central store to date.

Horrible.

New Wii releases are not there at all.

They only have XB360 games and consoles. HORRIBLE!

GAME is rubbish, high prices and bad stuff.

ZAVVI.com GREAT! CHEAP PRICE and fast delivery.

RE:Revelation 3D bundle with Circle PAd was £29.95. Other Store were selling it at £34.99 + £19.99 for the Circle Pad!


Let's all shop at Zavvi!!!!!!

They need to start closing down unnecessary stores. My hometown has 2 within 3 minutes walk of each other.

Didn't realise one had closed, but thought it would have made more sense to keep the one in Selfridges and close one of the other 2. Unless the rent was ridiculous

Quite the contrary actually. I've been using them for a while now, and they offer a very good service. Deliveries are all free with Royal mail first class which arrives within 2-3 days (you can pay a small price for next day). Plus they always have offers going on and cut game prices very quickly, like Gears 3 is on for £19.99 now I believe.

Zavvi are awful, they are constantly advertising stuff as in stock when it isn't, they often slash prices and then claim out of stock after order is made, then a few weeks later cancel because "Supplier is no longer distributing this item" even on massively selling products.  Absolute crap, pretty sure is all a scam to get people to sign up to and use the website, it happens way too often.

Oh wow really, I have been using them for quite a while and haven't had any problems whatsoever in terms of orders not getting dispatched in time. As far as I can tell from personal experience (not from rumours from others), I would say they are as good as they get. Maybe I'm just lucky, who knows.

I can't speak for Zavvi but I use GAME online store in AUS because  the games always get delivered the day before  release.

They're too expensive. I haven't bought a game there in a few years. HMV offer the same new releases between 5 and 10 euro cheaper. It's actually ridiculous, within a short walking distance you can save yourself 10 euro shopping for an item.

GAME has made its last mistake as far as I'm concerned : they have my Cristal Edition of FFXIII-2, I have no shipment info and their ruddy French site is undergoing maintenance until 2/13! Now I'm really f*** MAD!
