wait so all "free" games get taken away if you remove your PS+ subscription?

Isn't that how it works with Live-Gold too?

When you get a game for free and/or discounted you keep that game.

No. You get a game for free or for a discount and its yours no matter what. I remember getting games like Carcassonne and Undertow for free. Good stuff :)

So basically, your paying $50 a year to "borrow" games. Cause once you decide to opt out Sony just takes em away?

lol wow so basically PS3 users are forced to keep paying for "rent" to keep their games, yet Live Gold members keep their discounted games, plus have better online features/infrastructure. Now I know why many devout ps3 gamers say PS Plus is a heresy :P

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

zomg - A) this has been common knowledge of how PS+ works for over a year now.  B) for $50 I got well-over $50 in discounts last year.  hell, i saved $20 just on VC2 which btw discounted content is my FOREVER C) for $50 PS+ gamers got access to around $500 worth of "free" content (someone added it up for last year). oh sure, i can't play Sam & Max season 2 when I turn 50 but for fucks sake...i wasn't going to either.  PS+ is an amazing deal i promise you.  I'm absolutly overflowing with content for a mere $50.  I mean, what the hell do you get for $50 ... permission to play your online games online.  yeah, that's free to me so who's the sucker now??

Seems your just as ignorant of Live as I was on PS Plus :P

I could very well say that Live Gold pays for itself given all the deals it has going on every week, hundreds of dollars in savings when the year is done.

But then again I have cross game chat, party system, Gold exclusive apps, and just easier to see, talk, and know what your friends are doing no matter what they are doing at the time. Sure your online is free, but it isnt the best. And I KEEP all my deals on content. Whos the sucker now? I cant believe Sony actually tricked people to pay for that.

..and i KEEP all my deals on content as well, as i clearly stated above, just the same as on live.  and psn has given away free games/movies too that doesn't require ps+ (or a psn outage :P) just the same as on live.  but with ps+ i get more "free" games in a month that live does in a year.  so whatever, ps+ is about cheap access to loads of content and it is a fantastic deal.  live gold is about access to premium online access.  i'm not telling you live gold isn't worth your $50 bucks but don't start trolling the ps+ service with a load of BS.

any games that are 100% free you "give back when your sub ends and get again once you resart your sub.

any games that are 99% to 1% discount that you pay for, you get to keep no matter what you do.

Not sure why I want to know what everyone is doing when they are doing it but that feature is free to all PS3 users. e.g I'm using PLAYtv right now and I can tell you that the 3 people on my friends list  who are online on my lists are Jon who is currently playing FF13, McN who is is playing Pro evo 12 and Sean is playing Twisted Metal

No idea why everyone wanted this feature but alas, we have it.

And till today, no one has given me irrifutable proof that EVERY 360 game gets "dedicated servers" and PS3 games lag badly because every time I play on the PS3, everything is fine so...what's this over hyping?

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Yea, seriously stop the arguments guys. They are both awesome services.

To compare the two is just wrong, though.

One is focused more on offering premium services, such as certain timed exclusives, a (supposedly, I personally think they are both just fine) better online playing environment, as well as providing discounts, and an occasional game.

The other is focused on offering tons of "free" (while subscription remains active) content. In games alone, since last April I think it was, of the games I actually wanted to keep and beat, I have received well over $100, if not $200 in value. In the last several months, Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, Spryo 1, 2, 3, Syphon Filter 1, 2, 3 (I would say Crash 1, 2, 3 and Racing but I am having trouble getting into these games...controls aren't responsive enough). They also offer discounts, as well as some premium services, such as 150mb of cloud storage, as well as free themes, episodes of Qore, etc.

Both are awesome services...get over the damned arguing you guys, seriously.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

Update: UPDATE: Delay so launch is "in-line with game's release on XBL". UPDATE:Sony has explained the delay of The Simpsons Arcade."Konami have contacted us this morning and informed us that The Simpsons Arcade will need to publish on February 8th to be in line with the game's release on Xbox Live Arcade and in SCEA," Sony's Ross McGrath wrote on the EU PS Blog. "Unfortunately, this is not something I have the power to change and it means you won't be able to get your hands on The Simpsons until next week - February 8th. "Believe me, I'm as disappointed as you are. The game will still be available for four weeks, so the new removal date will be March 7th, when we refresh the Plus update. "The rest of the February Plus refresh will go ahead as planned and we will keep Back to the Future: The Game in there for one extra week so you're not flying 'gameless'." ORIGINAL STORY:The launch of The Simpsons Arcade on PlayStation Network has been delayed, Sony has announced. The retro classic was supposed to go live today for PlayStation Plus subscribers. No explanation for the delay was given. "Sadly, we are now unable to publish The Simpsons Arcade until next week, Wednesday 8 February, and not today as listed," reads an update on the EU PlayStation Blog. "We apologise for getting you excited about playing it too early but, rest assured, it will still be available to PS Plus members at no extra cost for a full four weeks." Sony has extended the 100 per cent discount on Back to the Future: The Game for an additional week "by way of small compensation".

Son of Bitch - Most likely that stupid XBL policy at work again .. thats Bullshit.
