Why does the video game industry have the worst writers?

All the good writers are doing "real" work: books, movies, TV, plays. Those good ones who try to move from other format to VGs don't really get VG as a writing medium and hence don't end up writing material that works really well for VGs.

One day video games will be recognised as a form of artistic expression for the writer equal to other story telling media.

I really hope The Last of Us will give us an objectively well written story, not merely "good for a video game".

Film critics are no better............... always giving oscars to all that victorian garbage.

its like if a film is not based on a true story and historic (as in at least from 100+ years ago) then it gets next to no acclaim, some films do not get the respect they deserve.

I am not trolling. I am merely stating what I believe in. Video game reading material doesn't really scream quality most of the times. I was just merely trying to point out that most of the video game magazines, video game articles written on the web, etc all mainly suck. Geez now I feel really slow.... lol I thought he was referring to me. Actually that is a pretty good point he brings up. Most gaming articles seem to have gone the troll route just to gather as many hits as possible.

My excuse is that I woke up and was smoking weed before work. I'd rather get rick rolled than misread something and respond with a pointless paragraph.
