To be fair in regards to the previous iterations weren't R1 and R2 excessively bundled? And 3rd is yet to be so, but then again, with so many new franchises now I doubt they'll be bundling it.

1 million is a nice milestone, but as users pointed out it's still kinda lacksture at the same time for a reasonably infamous PS3 IP.

im pretty sure it was just primarly the 1st that was bundled extensively. i bet around 1-1.5 million was from bundles.

i think the second sold pretty well on its own, with not not too much bundles

Except Resistance 3 hasn't been overhyped nor had 5 years+ of developpement.


Doesn't matter. Alan Wake was a new IP. Resistance 3 isn't. Also R3 was competing against other FPS like Gears 3, MW3, BF3, Halo Reach, etc.. and loss miserably to those titles. Even RAGE, which probably isn't as good as R3 overall got to 1 million sold faster. It did it less then 3 months. Resistance making it to 1 million in 4 months is not a great achievement. If it did it within a month (like it should have), that would have been something.

Much better than the other Resistance games and deserves more sales for sure.

I think 2nd was well bundled too, not as much as the first mind. I remember the 80GB PS3 bundle with Motorstorm and R2 I think.
