Doesn't matter. Alan Wake was a new IP. Resistance 3 isn't. Also R3 was competing against other FPS like Gears 3, MW3, BF3, Halo Reach, etc.. and loss miserably to those titles. Even RAGE, which probably isn't as good as R3 overall got to 1 million sold faster. It did it less then 3 months. Resistance making it to 1 million in 4 months is not a great achievement. If it did it within a month (like it should have), that would have been something.
