Buy Capcom open world fantasy game Dragon's Dogma and you'll be the first to play the Resident Evil 6 demo.

Retail versions of Dragon's Dogma contain a redeemable token that lets you download the Resident Evil 6 demo.

On Xbox 360, the demo will be available to download globally on 3rd July - 60 days earlier than any other platform.

It launches on PlayStation 3 on 4th September in the US and Japan and 5th September in Europe.

Meanwhile, Capcom has announced that Dragon's Dogma launches on PS3 and Xbox 360 on 25th May in Europe.

Those who pre-order the game get the Pawn Upgrade Pack (additional Rift Crystals allowing players to rent higher level experience Pawns from the outset), the Armour Upgrade Pack (high level armour) or the Weapon Upgrade Pack (high level weapons), depending on the shop you favour.

Capcom today promised post launch support with a "comprehensive suite" of DLC, including additional quests as well as weapon and armour upgrades.

So when you buy Dragon's Dogma you get a download code with it and can use it right after, right? or do you have to wait until 3rd July on Xbox 360 and 4th September for PS3 to be able to use it and download the demo? I asume it's the former.

Anyways, I sort of like Dragon's Dogma but I don't think I'll buy it day 1 because I know it will be filled with a crapload of DLC and they will most likely release the "Full" version a few months later with all DLC included on Disc. I can wait for the RE6 demo :P.

I don't understand why it releases earlier on Xbox 360 though... could they be having problems making the game on PS3 and they need more time to release it? it can't be that because you can download it the same day as the Xbox 360 Demo if you buy Dragon's Dogma... right? So it must be some kind of deal Capcom had...

Yeah, no. Timed or exclusive demos and betas for preordering or buying a crappy game early are for suckers.

Edit:  Oh, and they just announced this game like what, a week ago?  And now they're already announcing a demo almost a year before the game comes out?  Boy are they hard up for money.

Seriously, this is getting ridiculous. Halo isn't as popular as it used to be. Call of Duty is the 'new Halo" and that is also on your competitors platform. Step it up Microsoft or get left behind.
