There's a lot of Nintendo News buzzing around this week. But one P.R. statement that came from Iwata in the recent investors briefing has me thinking

"..I will not mention them here. I can say, however, that there will be more and more highly-anticipated titles for the Nintendo 3DS even in the U.S. and Europe where home console game systems lead the market."

He was refering to third party games (that part I didn't quote). All this P.R. talk has me excited for the future of the handheld and I'm wondering what these third party games are. Here is some of my speculations/ hopes;

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Stories- Yeah that's right, A fully 3d GTA game on a Nintendo Console. This game would be perfect to play the role of bringing in the 'Mature'(or former ps2 owners) gaming audience on the 3ds in the West. The game is considered to be the best in the series by many. Why wouldn't Rockstar make it? It's not like its a brand new game for 3ds. Just copy and paste the enormous cities from the parent game with all new( over the top SA style) missions. And add some new effects to spice up the visuals a bit. 3ds is around (a bit more than) Ps2's power range after all. Also, of course, there should be additions of new features. Like using rag-doll physics and the cover system from GTA4. How about Online? Say you're driving around then someone on your friendlist appears on your radar and needs your help taking over a turf. You and a bunch of his other freinds jump in, kill the bastards and everyone goes on their way. Add these, plus some local co-op play, (2-8 players running a mock in the city) and you have a mega killer app  that anyone who were a fan of GTA SA would be forced to buy a 3ds for. It should also help similar 'mature' themed games that comes after it. MAKE IT HAPPEN ROCKSTAR!!!

Burnout 3 remake- I never played burnout 3 before so I personally won't mine a straight up port. Anyways, this game would just look crazy in 3d. Nuff said. MAKE IT HAPPEN EA!!!

Power Stone 3-  A brand new Power stone sequel. I personally want to see this franchise make a return. Since it's made ground up for a handheld, they should add some new stuff in this release of course. How about some kinda challenging final fight style campaign mode that can support 4-players (if you get 4 other friends with 3ds's, or online) . Since each players has there own screen you can split up mid-mission and met back up. This would be a hit in japan where local play on a handheld is most popular. Add some ragdoll physics and a bit of 3d platforming and you have something special. VS mode should be the regular deal. MAKE IT HAPPEN CAPCOM!!!

These are just a few examples personally want to see on 3ds from third parties. All of those would look spectacular in 3d imo. So I want them all to be released this year exclusively for 3ds and no other console ever!!

One thing that is definite is Call of Duty(Vita-fans actually think they will have that for themselves)

I'd like $20 3DS remakes of various DS games. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days with real analog control in 3D? Buy!

The 3DS really needs a Castlevania game. San Andreas stories would be great, but I'm not sure about Powerstone 3 since Powerstone 2 wasn't that good and I liked the first one better.

Custom Robo 3DS. Make it Nintendo. I bought my system for this one unannounced game.

Bravely Default is the third party game that has me most excited. But for speculation a Final Fantasy game would be cool.
