I guess I should be thankful for the 3D in the 3DS. If it didn't suck so hard, we might not have seen another 2D Mario. Seriously, who needs six years to make a sequel to a game that sold over 25 million copies.

It's about damn time.

I doubt it took 6 years to make, I'd say they didn't bother until recently. Personally I was happy with 3DLAND (and still am in fact) and I hope they continue with the line which I'm sure they will...

I just hope a 2d mario game for the 3ds is not as heartless as the wii version, or as easy as the ds 'un was but then if they're only making it cos they feel they have to, it probably will be one or the other (or both)...

Still, if making such a game provides nintendo with more market power, and the opportunity to waste time on other silly projects, I say 'bring it on!'

That's not really a news. it was anounce by miyamoto when they reveal the 3d mario for the 3ds that there will be also a 2d mario on the system.

But we must first concentrate ourselves on the way to entertain people, for video games to live. Else, it's a world where sales representative will win, which has as effect to kill creativity. I want to say to the creators all around the world:"Courage, Dare!". Shigeru Miyamoto.
