For most games, a version that features extra content and superior controls would qualify if as theversion to play. However, The Witcher 2 is not most games -- it's one of the best-looking games ever made. There's simply no way that the 360 could match the visuals of the original -- a game designed for machines with as much as ten times the power. That said, The Witcher 2 might also be one of the graphically impressive 360 games ever made. Throughout the event, various developers asked me what I thought of the game's visuals. Their worry made it clear that the game's looking impressive was one of their top priorities. The geometry isn't as complex, textures were blurry (by PC standards), and the distinct lack of fancy graphical effects took away some of the grandeur from a few previously impressive scenes. However, when compared to its console competition, The Witcher 2 easily holds its own against the Uncharted 3s of the world. Whether it's "the best-looking console game" is a matter for fans to argue over on message boards, the important thing is this: At no point did I get that familiar feeling that I'm playing an inferior version of the game -- no frame rate hiccups like Saints Row the Third, no squinting at the screen trying to make out low-res objects in the distance like Battlefield 3. I'm not sure what I'll do when I get home tonight: Do I continue on with my PC playthrough? Or do I wait until WB publishes the 360 version on April 17?

latest press release from Adam bozowski says the 360 code has been fully rewritten as to take advantage of the console specs and is completely native code for 360. He goes on to say some experts are saying its the best visuals achieved for consoles.
I'm merely saying this is what Adam claims. So don't hate me. I'm the messenger.
Either way sounds like the 360 version has had loads of care and the latest I game 360 screenshots are amazing. Helps make his statement seem worthy.
Can't wait for this. As I don't pc game anymore owning a 360 over the others is a great choice. Witcher 2, mass effect 3 and kingdom of amular look the best rpgs of the year.
Great year for Xbox.

sure does look amazing
@ pezus.
So far 1 up, giant bomb and gamespot all say the build played the other day has no framerate issues and fantastic textures for a console game. Very smooth and very impressive apparantly. Not sure where the framerate issues you have seen come from. That seems a high point of praise for recent previews.
Alot of times apparant frame issues can be the video. I've seen forza 4 videos look like forza 4 has framerate issues. Which of course it doesn't.

Sure, you're right. Maybe it was just the video so I'll reserve judgment until the game is released |
Lol, but didn't you already pass judgment a few posts back?
I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.
