Forums - Nintendo - Yoshinori Ono: Wii U will differ greatly from E3 - More possibilities available

"What we saw last E3 is not a reflection of everything this console is able to offer."

Of course it was. But Nintendo was forced to change because no one liked that crap.

That makes so little sence from so many angles. If you really hate Nintendo that much you should just stay away from Nintendo threads. -.-'

"I can't tell you more about it because, if I do, Nintendo will send assassins to finish me! (laughs)"
Good ol' Japanese humor.

" But let’s say that Wii U will be a console with so many and unique possibilities that it will be difficult to show them in the box they are going to sell it or to be published by magazines and other mediums"

Is this supposed to be good news? Sounds like the 3DS all over again. You can't really show people how 3D works. They have to try it in person.

No they dont.

Otherwise the Rare guys would not be alive anymore.

Well, they aren't. Though it has nothing to do with Assassins, they all died in car accidents. Damn wreckless UK drivers!

Yes, completely unforeseen car accidents.  Just like Gunpei Yokoi, the creator of Metroid and the Game Boy--the car crash that killed him had nothing to do with the fact that he had just left Nintendo.

None at all.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Nintendo's "own assassins" would be its fanboys :P

Anyways; by the sound of it I would say he's talking about nothing more than additional controller features/possibilities. After all, they are talking about the development kits.

Why? I would let him tell us everything!

Oopsi I think I just admitted i'm a fanboy :O

So... that means... you would assassinate yourself for allowing the information to be spread? :P

Va?

haha no how then will i find out the stuff i don't know about

Well, I was thinking that since  "I can't tell you more about it because, if I do, Nintendo will send assassins to finish me! " implies that NO ONE is supposed to know before the E3 announcement.

Men jaja, det är ju bara ett skämt ;)

jo men de förstår jag

du sa att "fanboysarna var the assassins" så om jag var en assassin så hade jag låtit honom berätta allt

vi får säkert mer info på GDC

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Remember the love hotels Yamauchi opened at some point in the 80s? There's something fishy about all of this.

I could be wrong but I suspect that what he is saying is that, much like the original Wii or DS, you can't really understand what is really being done until you play it yourself; not, like the 3DS, where you can't even see what is special in conventional mediums.

Straightforward improvements in processing power are easy to express through the media, after all you can simply publish the videos or screen shots from the game, but changing the user-interface is much more challenging to express.

I suppose someone should start a fan-fiction about how Nintendo was founded 100 years ago by a secret band of Ninjas to launder their secret assassin riches; and the reason Nintendo doesn't make "Mature" rated content is because, for Nintendo, the fantasy is a world where they do not kill people.

Or, happydolphin had a point. The love hotels more than made up for the lack of mature games! O.O
