20.01.2012: BIU Sales Award: Fifa 12 erfolgreichstes Spiel des Jahres 2011, Weihnachtsgeschäft kurbelt den Handheldmarkt an

Berlin, 20. Januar 2012. Der Bundesverband Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware e. V. (BIU) und media control GfK INTERNATIONAL ehrten in diesem Jahr  über 50 PC- und Videospiele mit einem oder mehreren BIU Sales Awards[1]. Für mehr als 100.000 verkaufte Spiele auf einer Gaming-Plattform wurde der BIU Sales Award in Gold insgesamt 51 Mal verliehen, 19 Mal wurde die Grenze von 200.000 verkauften Spielen überschritten und so erhielten diese Titel den BIU Sales Award in Platin. Insgesamt 12 Games schafften es auf mehr als 500.000 verkaufte Einheiten, davon 8 plattformübergreifend (BIU Multiplattform Award) und 4 auf einer Gaming-Plattform (BIU Sonderpreis). Mit weit mehr als 1.000.000 verkauften Einheiten ist Fifa 12 das erfolgreichste Spiel des Jahres 2011. Die Fussballsimulation von Electronic Arts hat nahtlos an den Erfolg des Vorgängers angeknüpft und so unter anderem den BIU Sales Multiplattform Award für 1.000.000 verkaufte Spiele auf mehreren Plattformen erhalten. Auch das im November 2010 veröffentlichte Spiel Call of Duty hat die Grenze von 1.000.000 verkauften Einheiten gebrochen und wird dafür mit dem Multiplattform Award geehrt.

Das Weihnachtsgeschäft hat die Games Industrie beflügelt und so konnten im diesjährigen Dezember fast doppelt so viele BIU Sales Awards verliehen werden, wie im Vorjahr. 25 BIU Sales Awards konnten im Dezember vermerkt werden. Unter anderem konnten Mario Kart 7 (Nintendo), Super Mario Land 3D (Nintendo) und The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo) für den Nintendo 3DS mit jeweils über 100.000 verkauften Exemplaren einen BIU Sales Award in Gold ergattern. Über 100.000-mal verkaufte sich auch Professor Layton und der Ruf des Phantoms (Nintendo) und erhält damit ebenfalls den BIU Sales Gold Award vom Bundesverband Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware e. V. (BIU) und media control GfK INTERNATIONAL. Auf der Nintendo Wii gab es dreimal Gold und einmal Platin. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Nintendo), Mario & Sonic bei den Olympischen Spielen: London 2012 (SEGA) und Zumba Fitness (505 Games Ltd.) haben sich jeweils über 100.000-mal verkauft und werden dafür mit einem BIU Sales Gold Award ausgezeichnet. Just Dance 3 (Ubisoft) hat auf der Nintendo Wii die 200.000er Marke geknackt und erhält dafür den BIU Sales Award in Platin.

Das Spiel Call of Duty: Black Ops (Activision Blizzard) hat sich Plattformübergreifend über 1.000.000-mal verkaufte und erhält dafür den BIU Multiplattform Award. Ebenfalls erhält The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim (Zenimax Europe Ltd.) den BIU Sales Multiplattform Award für insgesamt mehr als 500.000 verkaufte Einheiten auf allen Plattformen.

Die Titel Batman: Arkham City (Warner Bros.), Need for Speed: The Run (Electronic Arts) und The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim (Zenimax Europe Ltd.) können auf der PlayStation3 jeweils 100.000 verkaufte Einheiten verzeichnen und erhalten dafür den BIU Sales Award in Gold. Einen BIU Sales Platin Award gab es auf der PlayStation 3 für SONYs Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception und Assassin´s Creed: Revelations aus dem Hause Ubisoft.

Auf der Xbox 360 konnten mit über 100.000 verkauften Exemplaren Forza Motorsport 4 (Microsoft) und The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim (Zenimax Europe Ltd.) mit einem BIU Sales Award in Gold ausgezeichnet werden. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (Activision) erhält auf der Xbox 360 einen BIU Sales Award in Platin.

Auf dem PC haben The Witcher 2 (NAMCO BANDAI Partners Germany GmbH), Die Sims: Medieval (Electronic Arts), Fifa 12 (Electronic Arts), Fußball Manager 12 (Electronic Arts) und Star Wars: The Old Republic (Electronic Arts) jeweils einen BIU Sales Gold Award erhalten. ANNO 2070 (Ubisoft), Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3(Activision) und The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim (Zenimax Europe Ltd.) haben sich jeweils über 200.000-mal auf dieser Plattform verkauft und erhalten dafür einen BIU Sales Award in Platin.

Der BIU Sales Award honoriert seit 2008 besonders verkaufsstarke Spieletitel (Vollpreisversionen) im Bereich interaktiver Unterhaltungssoftware in Deutschland. Grundlage des Preises bilden die von media control GfK INTERNATIONAL GmbH erhobenen Abverkaufszahlen von Spiele-Datenträgern im Handel. Der Award wird pro Gaming-Plattform vergeben: Für den BIU Gold Award müssen mindestens 100.000, für den BIU Platin Award mindestens 200.000 und für einen BIU Sonderpreis mindestens 500.000 Spiele im deutschen Markt abgesetzt worden sein. Darüber hinaus werden Spiele, die insgesamt 500.000 verkaufte Exemplare auf unterschiedlichen Plattformen erreichen, mit dem „BIU Multiplattform Award“ ausgezeichnet.

What does it say I said? I basically said That I am happy that there are a lot of Nintendo games that sold over 100,000 copies there, and that Soccer was the highest selling game there, which is not a surprise. Then I said ,or I should say Football. Was it that off?

First sentence is understandable. second one starts really good then doesn't make any sense.
It should say: Allerdings kein Wunder, dass (ein) Fußball(spiel) die Nummer eins der verkauften Spiele dort war.

The BIU Sales Award honors particularly salesstrong play titles (full price versions) within the range of interactive maintenance software in Germany since 2008. Basis of the price the Abverkaufszahlen of play data media in the trade, raised from media control GRP INTERNATIONALLY GmbH, forms. The Award is assigned per Gaming platform: For the BIU gold Award must have been set off at least 100,000, for the BIU platinum Award at least 200,000 and for a BIU special price of at least 500,000 plays in the German market. Beyond that plays, which achieve altogether 500,000 sold copies on different platforms, are distinguished with „the BIU multi-platform Award “.

Man Batman: Arkham Town Center and Forza Engine Haven 4 are my favourite games of the year. Even though Call of Duty Decay throwing Acres 3 isn't that bad either !

On the other hand I had the most fun with The Windshield Frame Section: Medieval :D
