Just wanted to take a poll. Something that gets us to think back when we first began our video gaming experience. Which gaming platform took your virginity? Tell everyone what your first impressions were when you tried video gaming for the first time. Obviously since you visit this site regularily the video game industry is an important aspect of your life. How did it all begin for you?
My first video gaming experience began in 1991 when I was just an elementary kid. It was on the NES. well after it was on the North American market. I remember it was a Christmas gift that year from my parents to me and my siblings. I remember first playing Super Mario Bros. with Duck Hunt. Of course me and my siblings fought over playing time quite a bit around then. You could say I had video gaming fever the worst from day one. I remember as a kid I had a lot of "distraction" issues. Instead of sitting quietly completing my homework I would constantly be getting distracted by many other things. From day one I loved gaming. I remember a few years later buying the SuperNES with my siblings, then the N64, Going heavily into PC gaming (Warcraft, Doom, Duke Nukem, Starcraft, Halflife, Age of Empires, Command and Conquer, Sims), the Xbox, and Xbox 360.
Now being older I find myself always wanting to see the new consoles, new gaming ideas, sales data. Been a gaming fan for about 20 years now. I'm sure I still will be until the day I die.

It ended up being stolen years later when it was still worth money at a pawn shop, but I used it plenty in the time I had it. The last game I had for it was (retarded) Where's Waldo. He was a bad ass back then, and I had all of his books. My first computer in the house was a IBM and in school we used an Apple II. |

You know to this day I still own my original NES. I just can't bring myself to part with it. Brings back memories.

My friend had one of those. made me think of a mobilized vacum cleaner or something. it was huge.
I got my granddad's NES that he'd used in a bar when the N64/PS was already released. I was 4 back then though so what did I care :P I enjoyed the hell out of it for about a year until I finally got the N64 with the "unbelievable graphics".
To be honest, I genuinely don't remember but I'm 80% sure it was a nintendo console
PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

lol ya I remember those days. You must have almost crapped your pants when you saw the difference between NES and N64. I can just remember still being an elementary kid when I got the SNES, and I thought the graphics difference from the NES to the SNES was "AMAZING!" :)

Indeed. I even sometimes still get some old friends over (the "Whoa, you have an N64??-guys") to relieve the good old days playing MK64 =)

Indeed. I remember many of the gaming parties I had on the N64. Especially the Goldeneye duels. I always made everyone mad since I was the only one that owned the game and did rather well when we all played multiplayer.

Oh man, I can still hear the "You know where all the good weapons spawn!" and "DON'T SHOOT ME UNTIL I'VE GOT MYSELF A WEAPON TOO!".
