Melee had a cast of 25 characters, of which Roy, Dr. Mario, Pichu, and Mewtwo were eliminated (Young Link -> Toon Link was more of a character rewrite than an elimination). So if 4 of Melee's 25 were cut, let's just say for the purposes of this thread that 6 of Brawl's 35 characters will definitely be cut (not knowing what will happen, of course)

So if you had to cut 6 of Brawl's 35 from Smash Bros Wii U/3DS, who would it be? You can also state who you would revise a la a Young Link -> Toon Link sort of deal

I would have to say (and this is not based on who i would like to be cut, but who i think would be cut if Sakurai had to cut 6 characters):
Wolf
Snake
Lucas
Lucario
ROB
Ike

I could see Zelda getting revised, perhaps by eliminating Sheik transformation and adapting her more to the Skyward Sword incarnation. Ike would likely be replaced by the protagonist of the 3DS Fire Emblem, keeping Marth as permanent representative of that franchise

I hope Wolf and R.O.B. get cut, they were really lame.
Please, don't cut Lucas or Ness

Jiggly Puff is amazing in SSBB don't diss the puff. After mastering her Eyelash Curler she becomes amazing then again this is coming from the guy who also mastered Pichu..

Removing ROB will remove any challenge in the game. He is still the only character that can beat me >.<

Also I see no reason to kick anybody I mean why would they remove Ike? I mean Roy was a stronger Marth to me but Ike is different from marth. If anything they will keep both and add another. Also who would replace lucario? I mean he only just replaced Mewtwo(A decision I hate)

No reason to get rid of Lucus if you keep Ness.

. Though you can suspect Sonic to get the boot. Snake probably has special permission to stay I guess.

They are going to remove mario just to start a controversy and get attention. :)

All I need is Link in order to pummel people, as I am presumably the best out there.

But of course I say Snake will be cut, will be sad too. Also, Sonic is going to be cut I'm very sure and maybe even Ike...Ganondorf desperately needs his own style.

On whom they'll add, main character from Xenoblade and Last Story, Cloud (Hehehe), new FE character, and many more I'm sure.

Wasn't Metaknight considered a 'cheat' character by some and banned from some tournaments because of his ridiculous flying and spinning abilities? If he really does have that much of an advantage (as cool as he is) he should be cut.

Ha! Almost forgot that cheater face, he is innevitably being cut, or at least from tournament play.

Remember though Capcom doesn't enjoy Megaman anymore...I despise them.

I don't care who gets cut. They should put Isaac from Golden Sun in as a playable character.
