not too, only this if you compare every hack&slash for ps3/360 with god of war for psp and ps3. but that makes no sense so both sites win nothing^^

there should be an explenation why he only chose few hack and slash games and only when they are released simultaneously for ps3 and 360.

Yeah, I'm only using the games he posted, but seriously it's more important GOW series sell great because it's a great series

What do you mean come on? The threadstarter made a claim that was clearly wrong and people called him out on it. Then he tried to reduce which hack and slashes are allowed to count in a way that doesn't make sense and again he was proven wrong. Not to mention he is including psp sales for god of war but not other psp hack and slash games. God of War has sold well but it is not even close to half of quite a niche genre. Not really impressive if you consider call of duty makes up over half the sales of a popular genre on the 360/ps3.

All he has to do though is change the title to: GoW is the best selling hack n slash on consoles.

It's still an amazing accomplishment. But yeah, as of right now: It's weird.

Guys don't get hard feelings, really no need to get emotional. Its simply amazing God of War sold more then all, if not more than the most prominent and known hack n slashs games.

Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Fable, X-Men, PoP are NOT Hack n slash games.

Well... with those 2 games on both platforms brings another 800k to "all other Hack n Slash" games... I guess God of War has been beaten by a small margin. Damn lol

This topic is just insane. GoW this gen (err well kinda) sold more than all (err well actually only console based games oh and errr only a small selection) other hack and slash games.

Seriously you add GoW console + handheld games. Then your 'all' hack and slash games is actually a selection of only console based ones ignoring the fact you included handhelds for GoW

GoW sales this gen = 7.15 million
DmC+NG+Bayonetta =7.19 million.
So just yea just 3 franchises beat it. Not even including heavenly sword etc etc. It's still impressive, but your title is still a complete lie and cherry picking.



Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

I am sorry my friend, but I have to disagree on a few of those games not being Hack & Slash.

As for this topic, I think it should have been called:

"God of War is awesome, and sells awesome"

I think no-one could have disagreed with the above. :D

You should add Lords of Shadow to the God of War numbers as I see absolutely no difference between the two.

Remember Star Wars Force Unleashed is a game that was using known franchise (lame excuse used by someone). By the way why did you leave out Handhelds and Wii?
