I only read historical novels and such. My favorite so far is the Genghis Khan series of Conn Iggulden. Any recommendations from the same kind of genre?

Not really historically accurate but a great cross-over to SF and a much more interesting version of the ME story premise. Pitting Ghenghis Khan against Alexander the great. Great series.

Guns of the South. My personal favorite historical fiction novel, despite the ridiculous premise.

Conn Iggulden also has a Caesar series that you might like. I've read the first one and it was good, despite some events being a bit too convenient for my tastes.
