It has no 4D and 1 terabyte hard disk, fail Sony, wtf were you thinkin

1. Is this supposed to be a con? The PSP had an amazing library of games. Sure not as many as the DS but still, respectable.
2. 3DS success makes this a moot point.
3. That's your opinion. The Vita launch line-up IS amazing. There's something in there for everyone. Sure it has no killer-apps but which console does at launch? NONE.
4. Rear touchpad can be used as R2/L2.
"because no self-respecting gamer would ever play without actual buttons."
You don't have to. Buttons can be combined with touch to make for the best gameplay experience.
5. Behind the times in technology? LOL. 3D is nothing more than a gimmick on a handheld. It offers absolutely nothing to gameplay experience. Considering you complained about its price at #1 why do you want them to add 3D? That would increase the price by at least $50. Now you're just contradicting yourself.
Sony did not include 3D because they think it does not work well on a small screen.
they also said motion is a gimmick but then copied Nintendo so they might release a 3D screen attachment with included shoulder buttons.

I am expecting the Vita to be about 10-15% less of what the PSP overall market share was.
This isn't meant to be a serious thread but the first 2 points are very true.
1: It affected the 3DS as well, so much so that they had to make adverts saying "this isn't the DS, this is the 3DS."
2: Smartphones really are muscling into the handheld game market, which is annoying.
Considering that Sony are the leaders of the industry when it comes to innovation, the Vita is quite disappointing. Add in that the biggest title on release is a golf game and you have a major problem.

There really is no difference between trolling and pretending to troll. Exact same thing. Also I don't think it's alright to be racially insensitive under the guise of pretending to be racially insensitive. HAHAHA he referred to Japan as little China but it's fine because.... er.... well .... erm.... he was only pretending?
I was with you right up to point 3. But then point 1 just ruined everything. You got me.

Nu uh!
Great thread title.

| RolStoppable said: As expected, Sony's PlayStation Vita stumbled out of the gates in Japan. But this is just the beginning. With reports emerging that shipments for the European launch are getting cut in half (at least in France), it's a good time to analyze the problems that lie ahead of Sony and their new handheld. So here are five excellent reasons why the PS Vita is in big trouble, not just in little China: 1. The Vita looks like another iteration of the PSP - For the general consumer, the Vita is just another revision of the seven year old PSP with a second analog stick being added. They won't see this as justification to pay a premium price, hence why the PS Vita will quickly get the reputation of being an overpriced handheld. 2. Smartphones - They are growing rapidly in numbers and pose a serious threat to dedicated gaming handhelds. I know what you are going to say: "No self-respecting gamer would ever play without actual buttons." But the only thing that's true is that no self-respecting gamer would ever admit that he plays games without actual buttons. Just like everyone on the internet seems to hate the Call of Duty franchise, but buys every game of the series anyway. 3. Announced Vita games turned into lame games - Unreleased games are simply better. Why? Because when the PS Vita's launch lineup was finalized, you heard it everywhere: "Amazing launch lineup, much better than what the 3DS had." But as soon as Vita's second week sales were in, people were calling for killer apps, better games in general and even a price cut for the hardware. 4. No second pair of shoulder buttons - One of the main complaints about the PSP was the lack of a second analog stick which made it troublesome to port home console games on the portable. While this issue has been fixed (although it caused a new issue, see reason #1), the Vita still fails to offer all the same control inputs as a regular controller for home consoles. You could say that the Vita's rear touchpad can simulate the missing pair of shoulder buttons, but honestly, this point is moot, because no self-respecting gamer would ever play without actual buttons. 5. No stereoscopic 3D - Probably Sony's biggest mistake when they designed the Vita and they will have to pay dearly for it. In only its second week on the market, the Vita was being outsold 7:1 by the 3DS already. Now Sony is behind the times with their technologically inferior handheld. |
i wont discuss the fisrt 4 points but i have to say something about 5.
Well, LOL WTF ? 3DS is hardly better than original Psp in hardware, serious man Ps Vita games look almost like Ps3/360 Games... Inferior Tech ?? Y U what?
