Nah that's not my style, I'm happy 360 has done well sure, but I don't celebrate with with a thread of pictures of cakes and tons of smileys like some other users I could name (which I won't)

I thought this was impossible. But they actually won against a price cut lol.

I didn't follow the sales that much but this is pretty impressive.

and wow did most people have terrible predictions, just terrible. people were being laughed at for guessing less than like 20 million, and especially for less than 18 million. when in fact it's sales to consumers is likely around 16.5-17 million.

IGN contacted MS to clarify the numbers

"Xbox 360 has sold more than 66 million consoles and that Kinect has sold more than 18 million sensors around the world."

They say sold. Now obviously some will still say that is shipped but realisticly you have to say chances of their being 1.6m 360s on shelves (considering last year was just 800k) and over 3m Kinects on shelves is very very unlikely. Which would probably indicate vgc numbers are out. Which is fine as it has happened many times before. I don't understand why people get so heated/shocked when it happens.

On a side note i wonder if that also means Kinect software sales are a bit out. Maybe those dance games did better then we thing.

Last year they said the same thing, Sold over 50m, (people took it as shipments) when it actualy sold over 50m, and shipped 50.8m. Wonder if that's the exact same scenario today
