Even though Microsoft was already onto something before this holiday season (as well as during), the above summarizes what a great year it was for both Xbox and Kinect. Great numbers, and well deserved. Let’s hope MS has some nice things up their sleeve as part of their CES keynote that starts about 2 hours from now (live stream here).

Which of these stats do you find most promising for 2012?

Pretty good numbers for 2011 for 360. I never really thought it would be going this strong still but looks like it will go out strong. So they almost have 40 million xbox Live members which leaves about 25 million 360s offline (or can you have one account for multiple units? not sure).

i thought 360 was at 60million on VGC and then looked at this number so i though VGC undertracked severely

looks like 360 might have won this year after all.

So, 1.6m on shelves, or about 1.2m if they are including last week (which hasn't been added on VGC yet).
